Bloody hell an extra 40bhp from a remap! I would want an uprated intercooler first though. Can only imagine the gains on a full turbo back exhaust, induction and intercooler!!
Im just going to wait a few years when theres an old lady selling on for 5k. Buying new is a mugs game from a financial standpoint. Unless you have 20k to throw away...in which case you would probably buy something else.
Looks like they monged it as there looks to be no reason why the clamps cant be rotated so the flat part is parallel to the ground. Tried to upload a pic but photobucket says no!
Just paid a garage to fit the ktec/janspeed system and when I looked at it I can notice that the D shaped exhaust clamps seem to be quite low to the ground. Without jacking up and looking...at 12:34am they are put on so the lowest point (as in the corner of the D shape) is towards the floor so...
Oh thats okay then I only took it to a garage as its just a lot easier for them to do as they have ramps and I didnt fancy getting under a car and trying to do it myself at home!
EXHAUST FITTED WOOHOO!! SOUNDS AWESOME!!
Quiet when driving normally and dick sounding when your driving like a dick (lol)
Quite happily a Corsa VXR decided to overtake so I gave chase and I was shocked with the ease he pulled away in second gear and then I fluffed 3rd (again, im thinking I...
There are some assholes out there trust me. I am but only to the assholes! Im that guy that when that bmw is up the ass of a pensioner....I then give him a taste-im the anti-asshole lol
That sounds so wrong :S
Nice upgrade. I've wanted a 200 for 5 years now but can't justify their cost just yet.
You sure you didnt speed up a bit lol
I had someone do something similar..spotted a bmw overtake four cars and a lorry on a single carriageway double lines stretch of road and as he hung off my bumper while I...
Looks like it needs the engine cover back on though! Look forward to spraying that badboy! How do people spray the fake inlet things? Using masking tape???
Looks lovely if a bit bare without any badges/plates! Real nice colour.
Weight is overrated a lot of people strip their cars then plonk a heavy passenger in instantly negating the weight loss...
I would yes and the fog surrounds while your at it. I didnt do it as its bumper off job. will probably need more than one can of paint and lacquer though one can of primer should be fine for all. The lacquer once hardened job is to protect the paint so should stand up to chips as much as any...
HOW TO SPRAY GRILLE FOR CLIO 172
What I used: 1can of Halfords Satin black (smaller can) 1can of Halfords *plastic* grey primer (smaller can) 1 can of Halfords clear lacquer (smaller can)
Step 1) If you have bought the cans recently they need to be warm to at least room temperature ideally (I...
Its nce but I'd be scared to break It and also carbon should go with carbon imo. By that i mean i would then want fog surrounds and mirrors etc lol @optical i will do a step by step guide for you in a bit mate.
I may try and lighten the car as much as I can too in the realms of a road car. Not going all out as track cars are an ass driving round daily. If I could get it to 1000kg as a daily and still practical that would be ideal. On the lookout for a skoda fabia splitter but don't think there are any...
Just the exhaust and probably a panel filter possibly a remap everything else is just too much money for not enough gain. I would prefer to spend the cash on suspension :)
Once the car has its plastic bits all sprayed satin black I think it will look basically mint and as new but im really not a fan of the standard alloys on the sports...but hey ho. Upwards of £400 for a set of alloys without tyres is a lot of money imo with little gain so they'll be staying a...
Haha that shows how bad the tyres must be cos I managed to get it kicking in again today on some dry tarmac lol to be fair I've adjusted my style to suit them so when they wear out its going to be a momentus occasion having something decent onwheels!
So while I was away I decided to do a bit more painting...
Sprayed my rear bumper plastic and front grille (the whole thing) lacquered them both and glad I did as they look SUPERB! Just the fog surrounds and the lower grille left to do.
Only got a rear pic as it got dark.
Also a blessing and...
Take the course and do it in the county next to you as long as its not Kent I can't remember why but I see to remember being told not to do Kent and London as well I think it was. Either way the reason is because the forces don't talk to each other meaning you can speed one week and do a course...
Those rads look nice! What did you get it for does your engine run hot?
Reference your points...I always have the cruise set to 60mph maximum when im on motorways. The way I see it going fast in a straight line is awfully boring and the difference in journey time compared to say 80mph is feck...
