Well if renault who build the engines recommend 5w 40 for rs models then thats what I want in mine. Its just to save the garage the time, hastle and cash of buying the right oil for the car, when they can use the same oil as all the other cars.
The main dealers dont put fully synthetic oil in during service. It appeared on my invoice as "semi synth 10 w 40" which is what they put in the bog std clios. It burns up a bit quicker too from my experience.
Yeah its the seal round the rocker cover at the top. Hopefully if its going to take a couple of days I'll get a hire car as I need it for work.

Ive just got the car back with a small dent in the bonnet from where one of the numpteys dented it again, this is after I kicked up a stink about it last time and the same thing has happened. Im too tired to bring this up with them again. They didnt have the parts they needed so I need to put it...
If it suits you fine. But renault would recommend 97 ron fuel on the 1.2 if it made any difference. I wouldnt worry about damaging the engine either. Millions of 1.2's use 95 ron with no problems.
Yeah well they "forgot" to put the sump plug back in properly during the last service, causing me to stop at the side of the road with the oil pouring out the bottom of the engine. It doesnt bode well when they have to take the engine appart.... I'll have to see if its still using any oil...
Ive just come back from dropping my car at the renault dealership after the seal round the top of the engine was found to be leaking. Im now sh!tting myself as the car came back from the garage last time with some nice new dents in the bonnet which they tried to deny...
Just have to wait in...
I use privilege. Im paying just over £400 a year for business use as well on my 172 cup. Im 25 with 7 years no claims. This was the cheapest quote I could get. Try them but im not sure about modifications. Also phone insurers and get them fighting with each other for your custom. They tend to...
Yeah I wasnt a fan until I saw one in the metal. Looks more aggressive than it appears in the photos. I'd wait for a cup version though. The std one handles better than any 182 model according to autocar. The 197 cup will handle like a sports car.
