I am an auto electrician..
Its going to need a relay at least, and I've not even investigated it yet.
Those diagrams aren't much use from those photos, but the Ph1 will have the indicators go via that switch too.
I'd risk it, but get the rest of his work checked, I don't think its worth while pulling the engine personally, unless further, major issues were found apon inspection (By somebody who knows what they are doing/looking at!)
Wheel bearing wise, get it back together, and see if you have play, FWD...
With the oil leaks, what did it have done? Crank seals?
TBH I'd get it running and then see if it leaks, otherwise its box off, flywheel off again (which ideally needs new bolts), for nothing possibily.
I don't have a high opinion of 519, but I'd like to imagine, Nobody would put the engine...
First thing I'd do is jack it up and try to move the wheel at 3/9 and 6/12 points, checking for any amount of movement.
Secondly, I'd check the lower balljoint isnt sloppy as f**k, and is tight in the hub (Hole in the hub can become enlarged), and check the rack is tight to the subframe etc...
I guess it still has/had some oil in, or perhaps the bearings were just well lubed. Gearboxes do get hot in use, obviously much moreso with no oil to cool them..
I stripped a 172 box that had been run dry due to a leak, any plastic internally was a mess, and the 5th gear fork snapped.
Put it...
Cheers dude
Yes indeed buddy, always good to see you. Llandow is a perfect circuit for the DCi, It just needs more power, about 30hp should be enough. Then it'll be the gearing holding it back. Modifying cars.....
I know right!
Guess I should finish the latest postings.
Gave the bay a clean
Got everything stripped off monday night, before the bits turned up Tuesday.
Clutch was quite worn..
New clutch is much better
Got some nice new bits from Renault etc
And then thanks to Agency, a nice shiney gearbox to...
I went full widetrack.
Outer CV is a lot different between the two I believe. I might look tonight if I remember, still have the non sport stuff kicking about.
Is yours as low as mine? TBH Graham may get away with it, with his 4X4 height!
I too have 182 hubs too (from Grahams old car!), Mine rubs on the bumper now, I have arch liners fitted too.
Pretty sure it rubs near constantly with two passengers/fattys, but not taken many people recently.
I have 10mm with 1 degree Neg camber, and I still get rubbing, with 195/45 tyres, assuming its the same height as mine.
I had 2degree camber before, had no rubbing.
Will have to find some time!
Not been properly on here in a few days, and have been avoiding your thread due to being jealous. Damn you.
I do indeed have an arch roller, I would have suggested using it before you had it painted!
We'll have to sort out meeting up sometime soon, You at Trax?
I think you're unlikely to find somebody to do it locally, its not something a lot of people do, or are willing to do on other peoples cars too.
If you can do without the car for a few days you have more chance, get all the bits sent off to somebody.
I wouldn't expect it to be cheap though...
As long as its not a Twin barrel Ph1 cat, you have a chance. I'd bet money on one of the cat-to-mani bolts/springs snapping when you move the cat around though.
