172 suspension on DCI

guys am I right in thinking the hubs use the same ball joint so I can run 172 hubs, discs, callipers and suspension without going widetrack with lower arms etc?

my 80 is currently on apex -60mm and its too stiff for doing miles so looking to stick a fresh set of 172 dampers all round with my spare trophy springs

You'll have to measure the ball joint holes on both hubs.
Never tried It, but would be good to know for future cars , so that I can run standard track but better brake and suspension

The additional parts to go wide track would set you back no more that £50 on top of that so you may as well! It only takes a few hours to do

The car has brand new bottom arms and arb drop links so no need to go changing them just yet just need a better suspension setup.
