Totally agree with Mike's comments (@Silent_Scone) about gaming with 4K currently being a bit of a stretch. I have a 27" Asus G-Sync monitor that has a default resolution of 2160x1440 - a step down from 4K. With the GTX1080 onboard, there are a couple of games that get giddy through GeForce...
Yep - my mistake - it is the 60s Class, doh!
I'll definitely have a dabble at that weekly event - see how good/bad I can do with it!
Below was my first attempt at Monte Carlo in the Alpine. I almost got away without issue until near the end. Typical.
That's all I've used so far - in particular the Renault Alpine (what else?). Last night I bought the Mini and the other car in the '70s class - along with the Mk2 Escort as if money was no object. Not tried any of these new cars yet as I'm still liking the under-powered, tail-happiness of...
I would. But that said, I have a similar dislike to the Audi range - it would take something monumental for me to even walk into a showroom - let alone be interested in buying something made by them.
Yeah - proper slow-down - however it has helped to 'correct' my car when I've gone a bit too quick at times!
Thanks for the tip @Steve_RS2250 - I'll look into that. Seems a strange place to put the option of manual gears?
Loving this - but it certainly takes no prisoners! Hated the Welsh rally bit - it really confuses the car in how to behave. I do like the water splashes though - very neat effect. I actually find it easier to drive on snow than on the gravel and dirt of Wales.
How things have improved in Rally...
I would say that my tastes in the appearance of cars, definitely swing towards the chav-end of the barometer.
However - Dimma. Good God. If there's ever a kit to utterly ruin any car on this planet of ours - that is guaranteed to do the job. Truly hideous - even beyond the realms of an...
This is actually really enjoyable just with a pad. Granted it lacks the feedback of a wheel - as a rumbling controller can only do so much. I don't get that same sense of control with a pad in the likes of Project Cars.
Currently second in the championship, just a mere two seconds behind the...
No idea tbh. It's just a plastic flap that unclips that allows easy access to that section behind the bulkhead.
I remember when I first want to go down the aux cable & iPod combo and thinking how best to run the cabling. When I saw this access hatch, the answer was so obvious. :)
Used that every time over the last 12 years - something simple yet really useful.
For me - the small flap at the back of the 182's glove-box. It's on a small clip to remove and makes the fitment of iPods and the like in there so much easier by feeding the cables through this opening. Out of...
What's that twin-SMG type thing that rips through both clips in no time? Only used it on the SP campaign, but that needs nerfing. Apart from the fact it takes an ice age to reload, the rate of fire just rips apart targets in front of you.
Whether or not its as effective online, I don't know.
When you say a Core 2 CPU, are you referring to a Core 2 Duo? That won't be up to much at all and 4GB of memory is a bit short for Windows 10.
A dedicated graphics card would be good - if you're budgeting around the £200 mark, I'd suggest the AMD RX 470 cards - ideally the one with 8GB onboard...
C&C Zero Hour was the pinnacle of the series for me. Tried it again earlier in the year as its tied to my Origin account. It hasn't unfortunately, aged that well. I spent about 15 minutes on it then gave up. The whole genre has moved on somewhat.
Same here on my 5. Did the 15 min walk to the barbers on Saturday and had about a 10 min phone conversation in that.
Got to the barbers and the battery was on 54%. Went to check my email and the phone just switched off. Complained that it needed charging and I left it about ten minutes while...
Well, I'm a VR convert.
Admittedly, VR is not suitable for a good selection of games - the likes of RTS's would be a little bit pointless, unless they were genuine table-top replacement games.
We set one up here - running on a new PC with an i7 6700K and GTX1080. The Labs...
Very tough. At times you can't see the answer when it's staring you right in the face!
The hero selection is a tricky one - but I love the fact that you can create four completely distinct characters that all have their own pros and cons. Have you got to the 'frog' section yet where they can...
You set some great stage times, m8! Just had a dabble on the career mode earlier on the One pad and you're way ahead in the 'check friends' standings.
Once you get into a flow, even on a pad it feels good.
Did you have the belts replaced by someone reputable? These RS Clios are very particular about having the belts setup correctly.
I was going to suggest the belt that hangs off the alternator - mine did the same noise after a jet-wash, but would quickly go away after 5 seconds or so. The noise...
