Think i did about 3-4 coats on my bump strips when i did mine.
Think you mightve been better getting your paint matched by an independant paint supplier, as it could be slightly off colour, as paint ages.
I just asked about the laquer as the paint can look dull without it, looking off colour
either take out the spark plugs and turn the engine over for a minute or 2, just to get oil circulating again, or just disconnect the main ht lead from the coil
Taking the spark plugs out puts less strain on the starter motor as its not having to compress the air
Cant help you on the bodykits, but be prepared to get an ear bashing for wanting to mod a 182.
*Awaits the keep it standard posts*
(Im not against bodykits just incase your wondering, aslong as they look alright, but must admit, theres not much for a 182 that does look alright on it)...
if your shocks really have had it, like mine did after the first breakfast run i did, push down on a corner of the car, and let go.
It should rise up again, if it goes down again, then the shocker is fooked.
Not really a good test if you have hard springs anyway.
Another thing that happened...
its totally normal for the 1.4 engine to get upto that temperature, the fan is cutting in, so theres nothing to worry about.
great thing about that engine is it gets hot quick, so the heater blower gets hot quick aswell (great for winter)
thats normal
the fan should come on at around 3/4 mark.
the water temperature does go up quite fast thou, aslong as the fan is coming on at around the 3/4 mark its perfectly fine :)
I think people have said the one in motor-world is exactly the same as the megs portable polisher, and its alot cheaper...

shoe polish
yup, i used the liquid shoe polish as it dries into the worn parts alot better, and its just easier to apply, came up quite nicely.
Cant complain at buying a worn set of r19 leather for under 100 quid, and it looking...
I didnt think the lambda sensor worked for the first couple of minutes, whilst it gets upto temperature, in that time the ECU should be working in open loop mode :)
(not trying to prove anyone wrong, just what ive been told in the past)
buy new for the fronts, then swap for the backs.
last thing you want is the backend with sod all grip

wen u say no speedo do u mean it wont register the speed on the speedometer?
Yep, due to the way the 182 uses an electronic sensor in the gearbox, whereas the old mk1s used a mechanical link
agree with what some of the others have said about the foggies.
Looks good thou mate, perhaps re-align your bumper as it looks pissed on the passenger side
prob best just to tee off from the map sensor, or the fuel pressure regulator pipe.
You should be able to see a pipe coming from the inlet manifold that goes to the map sensor, or to a little thing on the fuel rail
if its that foilotec stuff, my mate had some problems with that paint, didnt dry for days after.
He ended up stripping the paint off, and just using hammerite, which is still on them to this day
