Ive never seen one rusty subaru impreza Joe, i have seen a few rusty renaults though (ok they were r5s, 9s and 11s) ;)
The cup probably is the bargain out of the lot of them though, the Subaru is strangled with 3 cats and a very restrictive exhaust, the RS is seriously quick but badly flawed...

Chris,
nice to see that your car is pushing 180bhp and that you havnt gone the explosive, ooooooooops expensive way of upping your rev limit to 8k (which isnt a good move if you dont have forged pistons btw as when those cast pistons go they go with a bang!)
Keep on modding though!

Im not counting for wear and tear parts like brakes, tyres etc so about 25k (including the price of the car) on security, alloys, uprated brakes, performance enhancements, and due to japanese reliability nothing else ;) (2.5yrs old)
Tony
Hardcorsax,
If you increase the ratios you reduce the in gear power thus reducing the overall performance of the car, you would beasically need 100bhp extra on a vtr gearbox to produce the same power as a standard vts due to the longer and less able gear ratios.
I take it you never did much...

LOL! i do like threads like this.....
Hardcoresax, by adding a vtrs gearbox into a vts all you would do is make the vts slower (ill let you figure it out) and i really would doubt that it would be able of getting anywhere near a theoretical top speed of 165mph :) as even with the different...

You will find that you can get quotes on the website but they will not insure you for any of the above 3 cars that you were looking at.
LV only cover over 30s on the turbo monsters now, its the reason that they are soooooooo good to us older drivers with performance cars ;O) so dont take it to...

Ive tested my car at over 160mph but i wouldnt reccommend it to everyone (mines a turbod jap thing so it pulls very nicely up there) as the world flies by :o
Tony
Tommy,
If the car was in the dealership no doubt you paid by credit card or the likes and have a receipt for the work done? if so then you can use this to your defence along with the fact that if your car is in for work it has to be in early(ish) so if the incident was say at 2pm and you didnt...

87 in a 50!!
If you have been caught then you may as well pay the fine, it doesnt matter whos car it is as your the registered owner and therefore are liable to any fines to that car (unless you can prove otherwise).
Road conditions etc may be taken into account but the fact is that...

Paul,
its not about the car falling to bits its about the car having a fault from the factory to start with, the running in period is about finding these faults and ragging the car everywhere will just endanger the driver if there is a fault/failure due to manufacturing (possably one of the...

I see there are a few who havnt grasped the concept here, its not about the ENGINE its about the WHOLE CAR, your gearbox isnt going to be bench run in, your cv joints aint either nor your bearings etc, if its not quite right to start with and your doing 100mph and the thing dies (which it will...

Yup great idea, thrash it
Your not just running the engine in like alot of people think, they seem to have this idea about it giving you more power in the long run... your actually running the CAR in! this includes the gearbox, the brakes, transmission parts etc so thrashing it will put...
