Cup, in standard form the wrx is very strangled (3 cats for instance compared to 1!) but take some of these out of the equasion and add a sports exhaust and it can be pushing 270bhp without too many problems (would suggest a remapped ecu though).

and easily a match for any Scooby.....
Hmmmm its about 200bhp under powered against Harveys scoob which has probably had 10-12ks worth of work on it ;)
Most modified scoobs are pushing 330-350bhp now, bit scary eh ;)

The GTT lump is VERY unreliable, even in standard form they were in and out of the garages more often than any other renault of its time (and thats saying something!).
The Ultra reliable ones with serious bhp (are not actually that reliable) have had 10s of thousands thrown at them to get them...

All dealers with a service facility have the ability to remove your wheels or else they wouldnt be able to replace brakes etc (or check them) so as said above, report them to Renault UK.

Hardcore,
yup i see what your getting at but the good sign of a modified motor is that it can be run day to day without problems occuring.
Now if your car is having problems that a normal saxo wouldnt have, then you have either pushed the modifications too far or you havnt done enough on the...
Lee, why is double clutching going to weld your clutch together????
All you are doing is going from a higher gear into neutral, reving the engine so that the gears are running the same speed then downing, you have only used the clutch to go to neutral so its not like your putting any strain on...

Its all about heat and resistance.
The thinner wire will break before it becomes a hazard and goes up in flames, the fat stuff on the otherhand may just heat up and set fire to your car (worst case scenario) so there is actually a reason its thin ;)

Hmmmm......
Hardcore has pointed out some good points but you will be looking at more than whats stated above.
New ecu will be needed (a good one not some rubbish thing)
Gearbox and driveshafts a definate as the standard will suffer badly with the power.
Brakes are a must (4 pots a...
