First thing I would do is fiddle with head unit settings and gains on the amps, and make sure there's no mistakes in how it's wired or setup.
How does it sound with the sub off? I only have a basic Alpine head unit with even more basic aftermarket speakers and it sounds dreadful, mainly from...
Is there any key places where the gas usually leaks? Mine went from working well to the compressor not even clicking on the next time I tries to use it, so I'm assuming there's a major leak.
Is there a big difference between the way a Mk1 handles to a Mk2? I went from Mk1 Clio 16v to a Ph1 172 and while straight line speed was better, it didn't feel massively faster when cornering, just a bit heavier.
The standard stereo in my old Laguna used to get too hot to touch when you ran the Sat Nav, didn't cause a problem but I have never had another stereo do it though.
Guessing it's the pattern part places like Kwik Fit use? Has anyone fitted one, how closely does it match the genuine one? Slightly concerned as it says it fits both Ph1 and 2 but very cheap which I could really do with right now :approve...

They said "The dimensions of the mount are the same, they introduced the twisted mount in 2003 due to bush failing in the earlier variety, thats why the large bush is solid with no air gap around it, it reduces engine movement... i 100% can confirm the mount will fit and is an improved version...
As title really, I was under the impression that the twisted Ph2 dogbone mount would not fit a Phase 1, but I have just been told by a respected seller on here that accidentally sent me a Ph2 mount that it will "100% fit" anyway.
Am I being stupid?
He will hate you for putting the GPS box in his car - however the price difference is huge. Get him a lower insurance group car? I had to make do with a 1.2 when I was 17/18 and it saved a hell of a lot
