Hmmm if the car vibrates when stationary something is sadly wrong with the engine. How many miles has it done?? I would guess that its your upper gearbox mount thats faulty, or the bolt going through it has snapped in half, this happened to mine

Dan he wasnt on about the top mounts, he was on about the engine mounts, if your off side top engine mount and upper gearbox mount( the one under the battery) have been uprated to something like the k-tec mounts it will indeed make your car vibrate like fu@k

Thank you Mr Pink, what does it do and should there be a wire plugged into it on my 172 cup?? My power steering is fine so not sure what its for, there is a plug thats been hanging loose for months that looks like it should plug into this. ( its very corroded tho)

Thanks matt Managed to get my alternator off today and the part number on it was 7700 105333 Its also a 75 Amp Dont suppose u can do a quick check for me can you please. Does the 172 cup share the same alternator as other renault models Such as the 1.9 diesel kangoo etc???

There is a electrical plug sticking up on a pipe about 3 inches infront of the alternator, noticed that the male electrical plug on a wire is not connected to it, and hanging loose Should these be connected on a 172 cup and whats it for Help please????
