Why do some aftermarket exhausts for 182's have 1 rear silencer and some have 2?? Does anyone know the real reason?? 1 is more popular now but why?
Is it weight, ease of manufacturing, noise related, etc etc
Anyone?
Dan
The standard 182 cat is a sports cat anyway and removing it doesnt make a big difference at all. I know this as ive got bodies and have ran the car with and without. Just leave it on if u dont want the stress with MOTS. I took mine off cos it had a huge crack in it.
No cos i dont really pay for any of the changes to my suspension on my car beacuse my car is the test car for all the work and has been since day one.
Yes kind of a bit of both (preload and rebound) Feels alot better tho :)
Well if your happy with yours then thats absolutely fine. Its just the fact that the dampers and their setting were to suit the softer spring setup and so i wanted the dampers to be more suited to the heavier spring setup. They are damn good out of the box but i do prefer them with the new...
No i dont want a stupidly loud car cos i just feel like a tool driving it. Thats what i like about the bodies is they only make noise when ur under heavy throttle :)
full interior but soon to be removed in the rear and some decent seats and harnesses. Ready for the ring!!! could be a rather noisy drive there. Having said that my old impreza used to be 116db!!! :)
im bored of waiting for coins lol so im goin to introduce one of my flexible friends. I need one for the flames!!! i already get loads out of the standard exhaust so god knows what it will be like with a proper exhaust!!!
round sharp bends?? What does that mean lol. It probably felt great but then uve probably never driven one with a different height setup etc so u cant really say if the higher setup is better if u get what im saying.
Me too. I wasnt allowed an input on the ride height lol.
He said ur having the best height for handling on a road car. He said do u want it to look proper or look like its had cut springs!
I do love the yozza one. I heard it on RIZ's car and loved it but its too much money for me tbh. Its between the GDI one or the Ktec one. I like the tailpipes on them too :)
Didnt say that providing you have enough suspension travel or enough room for the wheel to move which is not great on the front of a standard 182 with arch liners etc.
I agree with what ur saying but with decent coilovers the setup is vital and ride height is extremely important to how the car will ride, handle, feel, behave etc. If he just wanted it slammed he may well have just bought GAZ crap. but like he said hes getting them done soon so all is good :)...
the front is not a million miles away but under heavy cornering he will find the wheels scrubbing the hell out of the arches!!! Trust me ive had it endless amounts of times. Back is too low. The car needs to have rake to aid the turn in and try to eliminate understeer. The front must push on a...
Let put it this way if you want the car to work properly and the suspension to work properly then you will have to lift it up a fair bit. You must have almost no suspension travel at all. Curtis will defo raise it up more than that.
But then he does know what hes on about! He redid the heights...
Just wondered whos got one??

Thinking about getting one for my 182 to go with my ITB's and Cams.
Just wondered what the fit is like and what it sounds like etc etc.
Any feedback would be great

Make sure what ever you do replace the wire cone that fits on the flange where the decat meets the downpipe. If you havent then it will blow like hell. Its expensive tho. Bought 30quid with the bolts which you need too :)
