They are alot lighter than a 172/182 and handle amazing, a good friend of mine has a willy 3 with reprofiled cams headwork and raised rev limiter IT EATS my ph1! slower?!? in standard form possibly? but with a bit done power to a willy power to weight ratio and handling make it a better car than...
Why would you want to change ph1's slaggy standard apperance by fitting cheesey rear lights colour coded side strips and a ph2 rear bumper?!? ph1 looks better standard it's cheaper and is a better car to drive end of.
^^ As above says could turn out a bit like the Tom Hanks film Money Pit! But when working as it should it'l be a better handling even quicker car than the 172cup.
Its the rear brake shoes and the L shape bar that lock the pads in squeeking. Grime builds up in the grove. Copper slip pad contact face and edge but mainly clean L bar grove to stop squeeking on round abouts, thats what cured mine. If not could be sumit to do with rear passenger wheel touching...
Love the pioneer stuff especially the head unit looks mint! what model did you buy and how much?? Doh jst edited found it is compatible with stalk conrolls
The 15" Speedlines above are by far the best choice on ph2's pricey tho. LY above is mint! Iv also seen a exclusive on cs looking nearly as good. These r19's are speedlines aswell in anthracite with no centre caps(my preference) come in a very close second...
15" are a perfect drive better choice than 16's end off. I'll try and get some pics up of my ph1.
I would strongly recomend r19 ph1 alloys minus the centre caps for a ph2!!
Lower centre of gravity slightly better acceleration, much better handling. When getting in and out of the car you will notice height difference but a little extra arch gap also.
If not reparable in comparison a rear quater pannel on a r5 was 350+ vat alone! main dealer part only aswell! i'd say pick up a complete door it will be cheaper than repairing old door add labour, paint etc? 9oo-1k+ depending on what parts you repair or replace.
