cheers mate :) they are pretty good quality to be fair although they dont have a heel pad so will wear a bit quicker than the genuine ones but then they are less than half the price plus i wanted some more colourful ones :)
also thought id take my drivers seat apart today and see why it doesnt flip forward. turns out the cable had just popped off put it back on and works fine now. bonus!!

fitted new cup rear shocks and swapped the bent spare for one of the good ones i had in my garage (cleaned it all up nicely first too)
finished my inlet manifold off just need to get an rs lower one to widen the ports on...
did some boring maintanance work on the flamer this weekend:
new genuine rear discs,pads,bearings and nuts
straightened my wonky exhaust and fitted new mounts
replaced the auxillery belt and tensioner/idlers as it was due

getting new shocks for my 172 and gonna upgrade to cup ones as its lowered on eibachs
are 172 cup and 182 cup dampers the same? if they are different are either better or just different fitment?
what are the part numbers to make sure i definately get cup ones
also wheres cheapest??

right finally got around to doing an update :smile:
plenty of mods happened since the last one:
did a bit more to the bay
redid the induction kit with a red silicone bend and silicone breather pipe and mini filter
fitted some black strut top caps and alloy engine bay bolts from dan @ m.a.d...
have some minor cracking and wear on the drivers bolster and i want to repair it and am after some advise.
been advised to try the scuffmaster stuff but cant find any in the right colour.
has anyone used anything else thats a good colour match and does the job?

hear these cause a lot of problems on clios so gonna replace mine and the other halfs with new just to be on the safe side to save any future issues.
do they need to be the oem strap type for any reason or can i make up a battery earth lead and use that aslong as its nice and fat?

i have an fattys induction set up atm so the acoustic valve is redundant have somne blankers coming so can block off the inlet pipe.
question is can i leave it bolted on and plugged in or do i need to unplug it?
cant see it will cause any loss of power/bad running by still being plugged in but...

cant go any lower than that unfortunately as we have a steep drive and loads of bumps going up our road :( after the constant destruction of the bumper and underside of my last car i promised myself no silly low cars anymore haha
