acoustic valve (a different question!!)

i have an fattys induction set up atm so the acoustic valve is redundant have somne blankers coming so can block off the inlet pipe.
question is can i leave it bolted on and plugged in or do i need to unplug it?
cant see it will cause any loss of power/bad running by still being plugged in but thought id check :p
