My 182 gets used for road trips and trackdays, it gets dogs abuse. Some minor electrical issues when it was new but no mechanical problems....yet. Dealership problems I have had lots of :rasp:
My 12 year old pug 405 is on 115k and this thing is a tank, lots of electical issues but has never...
I've been trying to get Dialogys working, but it seems the French write software like they build cars :rasp:
Can someone tell me if 7701205833 will fit my 182? Much appreciated.
Depends on the mods. I'm pondering wheels and coilovers, but only because it's easy to refit the stock parts before I sell the car. Then I can sell on the wheels and coilovers seperate and recover a large part of their purchase price. Things like remaps, engine work etc are economically a poor...
DS is a hard pad, mine have munched a set of HC discs and there's tons left. I'll go through at least another set of discs before they're done I'm sure.
I was wondering where the best place is to get a set of recon front calipers for my 182. The dealer has quoted £67 a side. I've also tried GSF, but as usual they tell me they'll get back with a price but never do
You can't lose, both are good.
Pluses for the Civic:
Great engine and gearbox
Great build quality
Pluses for the Clio:
Cheap (very cheap!)
Has a handling edge over the Civic
More character, more communicative chassis.
The thing about the Clio is it's riddled with faults, but somehow it's...
Ok, I'm going to book the car in here to get a key mark fixed. I read another thread on here and they look alright. Has anyone had any experiences of this place before I book?
You're right about the "new is rubbish" thing, by that logic the horse and cart is still the option to go for. However if that doesn't appeal, the 197 handles better, stops better and should leave a 182 behind on a point to point run. It could be argued that the 182 feels more lively, but the...
Even if he did indicate, it surely doesn't matter? You still have right of way regardless of weather he's indicating or not. You can't just indicate and pull out into traffic! I can't see the bus company putting up much of a fight.
Most of the dealers haven't a clue about the 36k service, or any other service for that matter. I went through all this recently. Most kept saying "no sir, the timing belt doesn't need changed until 72k", they didn't understand what I meant by aux belt at all. I must have spoken to around 4...
That does sound kind of similar, oh dear :S Is this dangerous in any way? One thing I did notice, on the passenger side, the outside pad was a lot more worn than the inside. This was not the case on the drivers side. Do you think this could point to a defective caliper?
I took the pads out and...
I didn't fit them, but they were copper slipped at the time. Do you think that's all it could be? I'm going to take the pads off today and take a closer look.
I've had DS2500's and Brembo HC discs on for about 15k. At the last trackday I was at, the front brakes (I'm not sure what side) started to make a rubbing/thrumming noise when they were up to temperature. This is only under hard braking, and doesn't happen when cold or not braking. I don't...
That's Great Western road right before Anniesland Cross. I've past that car several times going backwards and forwards. It's just up from where the old B&Q used to be if anyone wants go along and laugh at it.
Thanks guys, I took the pins out and put some grease on them. They had no grease at all on them, and they've not been off since the car left the factory. The caliper seems to slide a little easier now.
I got it all put back together, it was still a very tight fit. The pads seem a little tight...
I didn't try that, I'm sure that's what it will be! It's getting dark now but I'll try this tomorrow. Many thanks!
I had to remove the bolts as I was replacing the disc as well.
I went out today to change the discs and pads on the rear of my 182. I bought genuine Renault discs and halfords pads. I got everything off no problem, fitted the new disc no problem. I went to put the new pads and holder back on, but I can't get the 2 bolt holes to line up. It looked to me like...
I find there's a huge difference, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray make DVD look like VHS. This is on 3 year old equipment as well.
I'm not sure what either format's maximum bit rate is, but typically HD encodes are around 20mbps - 25mbps on both formats. You will in fact find that the same film on Blu-Ray...
If it's wet, request that the car is under cover and dry when you come to collect. Then you can check for scratches, dents etc. Mine had a slight scratch on the bumper and no cig lighter, but that was sorted there and then. Take your time and go over it carefully, inside as well. It's probably...
