Driving vids should be heavy metal IMO.. not my usual choice.. but just think it suits them... tbh as you say the music that is with it is quite suiting.

nah that is it.. bit of persuasion in the form of laying it the right way up and jumping on the corner put it back in shape... well .... it covers the engine :p
Hiya chaps..
Bought this valver off a friend. Intentions are to use it as a track day car. The car is never intended to be road legal, nor do i want to increase the power as im sure i can have some fun with the engine stock.
At the moment im helping a mate (forum user on here)...
Ive been thinking the same thing. Cliobuyer.. what sort of answer is that? slicks give you a positive advantage on the track.... Doesn't show a drivers incompitence... whatever your skill level the level of grip will be higher on slicks on a dry track surface?
thanks for the info colin mcrea.... i was definitely on the limit with a lot of understeer into the corners as was al. Video doesn't give an accurate representation of the speed at all. We had a good time and kept all the cars in one piece at the end of the day wasn't a race just keeping up some...
Cant you just fit the struts off a V6? theyre shortened..... copy down a V6/trophy reg and take it into your stealers and say you need a pair of boot struts. sure this would be easier.. although i feel it may be costly.
I hear really good things about the apex kits for the money.. has to be 60mm IMO of course. unless you have really bad roads around your area.
thanks

Welcome to CS. Keep the mods simple.. silvervisions and if insurance allows posibly lower it.. An Apex 40mm or 60mm kit will transform the look of the car and increase handling. You may find the stock setup to be a bit wobbly, 40mm if you need to ride quality to stay good while still improving...
Yeah its a road through some fields that leads a scottish power depot where only 2 people work. Its daft how good the corners are as its just an access road. Popular with people learning to drive with it been private. Never had any trouble off staff at scottish power as well. Thats where i...

On my mk2 ph3 1.4 16v it doesn't say oil ok when you start engine anymore, oil is full of course, im assuming the wire has come off the sensor or something, where is the sensor located on this engine, and is this likely to be the cause?
thanks
josh
Yes its 2 bits. Price is about 22 quid and come with the thread inserts for the screws, however no screws and no bungs. For the front section you will need 2 of the plastic bung clips and 3 screws iirc.
thanks

Drive carefully. You will be really pleased with yourself if you get past your first couple of years driving without crashing, 172 is a powerful car for somebody young, for me lose the spoiler and get some standard wheels. But top motor mate you must be the envy of your mates.;) :P
