Right me and my mate have rewired the valver i bought and all seems well. Except when i turn the key. nothing happens, fuel pump kicks in just doesn't turn over. Thing is when the key is in the starting position the starter motor gets very very hot, im assuming its jammed, how do i go about...
they don't work on radar detection. its gps. Mine works but sometimes loses signal. The external antenna is the part required. either on the parcel shelf or under the scuttle panel

buy a wing from a scrappy/ebay and take it to be sprayed at a paintshop. They will be able to fit it as well. really easy to fit! where are you located?
can you use the electric adjuster to move the passanger side mirror? if not then the connector has come undone? if so then as mark says one of the wires might have come out of it?

Right cool. Just wondering why the previous owner had started putting a new loom in when the other was fine. Looks like the old loom will be suitable providing the engines like you say are the same. I think the selector rod has been setup wrong. If it needs a new box no biggy, you can pick em up...
course it doesn't work..... lol Soon as its running we will have to have a lol spin on Bank End road not back end you willy! We will have to test acceleration up to 60mph. after all.... that is the speed limit ;)
how will i know if the replacement engine is ph1? the looms i have both look exactly the same. seems a waste of time changing them over if theyre identical. What will the differences be in the ph's of looms?

My valver i bought today. Feel i need something to use on the track and quite fancy using it for winter and putting the black b*tch away for the winter. Car needs quite a bit of tidying up. Plan on stripping it. Roll cage and painting it Matt black (not to be a copycat or anything. I payed 300...
Bought a valver off a numpty for 300 quid. He has just put another engine in it from a crashed valver which is hit mates so i know the engines strong.
1) Problem is he has started putting a different loom in (god knows why). I have a complete loom ready to go in but i just wondered if there...
poweflex bushes will always begin to squeak due to the nature of the compound. Its not doing any harm. Let it squeak or go back to new standard bushes.

Like i say. Lower it on a suspension kit. Just don't make the mistake everyone makes and throw too much money at it (just like i have) although mine is a 1.4 16v i still wish i had just lowered and colour coded it. Then all the spare cash could have gone towards insuring+buying a 172/182.
not another................ yawn! Its a 1.2 forget about making it fast. If you can afford the insurance get a 172 otherwise build up no claims on your 1.2 till you can afford to insure one. Some basic mods could make it more fun to drive. Decat/induction kit, gains are negligible but it makes...
its definitely from the motor itself. Like i say if i turn the wheels 1/4 of a turn and hold it still there are some wierd scratchy/electronic buzzing noises coming from it.

my 2004 mk2 1.4 16v steering is making a really strange noise. if you turn it a little so there is some resistance there is a really strange scratching squeaky kinda noise. im under the impression the motor is on the left of the steering wheel just behind the dash, is it on its way out? and can...
think this will work. connector on the back looks the same as on the wire in the back of the car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Carminat-Navigation-SAT-NAV-Unit-GPS-VDO_W0QQitemZ260036135162QQihZ016QQcategoryZ75327QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
