They are standard exige wheels? Ah not too worry, Ive got 2 sets already! If they were like the grey car though, would sell one of my sets to replace them!

Most rebuilds require everything including rods and pistons(forged) but occasionally if done with better components the first time round they will last a lot longer. Depends what kind of mileage they are doing too, on a track or on the motorways.(Ive certainly not given it an easy life!)

Will post up pics when I get the head back, also waiting on sikaflex for the roof scoop. Justin - Not got the monies, plus would rather do it to a cheaper elise and put the motorsport kit onto it.

Agree with the souless comment, it is much faster though, even feels very torquey (cant believe I said that about a Honda engine:clown:)

new one will be MLS with steel dowels, had MLS one when I took it off but with Plastic dowels

Some pics etc for the people who may be interested- Thought after 68k miles on the VHPD thought it would be best to strip the engine down to see what kind of state it is in, and if it needs rebuilt. I need to send the head off to Dan to sort the Shims out and stop them rattling when cold too...

agreed, motorsport elises are on another league again. slobber... My brothers Honda S1 is currently being transformed into the above, Ibis white too... Im jealous :D

mine is original, rebuilding the engine right now to get it back up to scratch. Considered Honda conversion but it would just make it a mongrel. To be hoenst most of the Audi and Honda conversions are actually rebodied Elises.

roughly yea, whats not been turned into race cars or written off have been exported to europe or USA. Of whats here in the UK 60% sit in garages and never get used... tis a bit sad really.

sorry but those who are s1 hating are all wrong :D 150-ish s1's left in britain yet there is at least 125 s2's for sale right now. The carbon fibre exige is a work of art, gt1 is pricey but beautiful.

I had my old fortwo at 1.6bar, with lots of oher bits it was around 105 bhp. twas a good laugh, had my roadster at 122bhp with breathing mods and a special remap.
