9835 power comes from the ISO block - unlike the old 9815 which had a separate lead. Maybe its not so power hungry now because they added the DC/DC converter back in. Oh and its fused at 15 Amps instead of 20 like the 9815 (Yes Ive got / had both units).

Doesnt the bottom button do the tracks? You can go forwards but cant go backwards. The scroll wheel thing is for folders on mp3 discs or cds in the changer.

I paid £80 odd to have a £250 (converted U.S price) radio imported. I think youll be looking at slightly more than £100 to get that into the UK. Youd be better off trying to find a second hand one here instead.

Youre supposed to cut a bit out of the bonnet release grommet so that it fits. Thats how everyone (myself included) does it.

My crossovers are in the boot. The amp power cable runs through the same grommet the bonnet release and alarm cables do. I also ran one for the HU but my new one doesnt need it. So power runs down the left side of the car, RCAs down the middle and speaker cable down the right.
