I had some phillips Power2Night. Very good, very noticeable improvement. Unless you are a mincer, don't go for the blue tint. Reduces light on the road.
As Pepsi says. Common misconception.
I think you will struggle to find 185/45/15.
If I were you and I wasn't too bothered about looks, I would go for 195/45/15. Handles very well but does increase arch gap and put the speedo out considerably.

I found 195/45/15 to be best.
Expect the speedo to be a fair bit out though, but hey, who cares. The gearing is better and the handling seemed to be the best out of all the tyre sizes I tried. The car might look a bit strange if you haven't got it lowered though.
That rubber cover is just to stop shite getting on the metal pole that moves up and down, so this won't be the direct cause of any problem you are having but due to the split it may mean shite is getting on the pole and perhaps after time that could cause a leakage.
Awesome power. Torque seems down a fair bit though?
Can someone just confirm that torque at the wheels and torque at the fly will not be proportional but set?
Side note:
As in the transmission will lose 50lb ft no matter what torque at the fly? Whereas transmission will lose 20% of total...
I wouldn't bother taking the car to a bodyshop for the rear bumper. It so easy to fit. 4 screws need removing and 2 loosening. Just need a 13mm spanner and 15mins.

As Daz + Fred said but...
Won't the PCD converters act as massive spacers? I think they will both sit very far out of the arches and I would have thought you'd certainly need your arches rolled.
Sam
There is a guy with a Roller who lives up the road who has a big inflatable shed that goes over his car. It keeps the conditions exactly as you set them (so in your case 0% humidiity and reasonably cool). His just sits on the drive over top of the car.
I think it cost £1500, I thought it would...
The plastic matting (the stuff thats bonded to the boot floor and underneath the back seats started melting. It also melted plastic bags I had in the boot.
Is this normal?!? :S
P.S. The back is stripped btw...
