OK, thanks Jay.
Ill try it as it is. It wouldnt take too long to change the box anyway. Itll only be off the road for a weekend max. If I do it myself. Well, If I stand around watching my dad / bro in law to do it for me!
Cheers,
Chris.

Thanks Ben,
Unfortunately, I dont have £450 to spend at the moment, so I wont be buying a reconditioned box.
Is there any way I could refurb it myself? or shall I just put it back in as it was?
Cheers.

Dont know if its an uprated one or not...
Hello,
As you may or may not know, I am in the process of replacing the engine in my valver.
I will be fitting a new cambelt kit, (tensioners, idlers etc), a new clutch as well as new pumps.
I was planning on using my old gearbox, it has done about 80k. What shall I rebuild on it? what...
Hello Everyone!
My Clio is lowered by 60mm on the front (by the previous owner), and is dropped a few splines on the torsion bar on the back.
It has to have 195 - 45 - 15 tyres fitted, otherwise they foul the rear arches. (if you try and fit the standard size 195 - 50 - 15).
Now, Id love...
So, if you use the standard box with a new panel filter, do you need to keep the complete air intake and box? or can you take off the inlet pipe? (the one that points down to the ground).
I really wanna take the inlet pipe off (or move it). If it wasnt for that being so low to the ground, my...
If I remember correctly, my valver would hit close to 40 in first up to the limiter, then about 57 ish in 2nd. cant remember the other gears, but 90 in 3rd sounds about right.
Dont know what it could be though. Bet it gets to 60 bloody quickly though. Could it be the diff?
Regards,
Chris.
cheers Ben!
youre a star. So the kit includes "belts, pumps, tensioners & idlers" or is that just a cambelt/idler kit? what pumps?
I guess £77 is the price too?
Thanks.
cheers mate!
In not that keen, but it looks as though you can cut out some more of the grille and put more mesh on it!
It opens up my options a bit anyway.
thanks!
Chris.
youd need a spaceframe and fiberglass or maybe carbon panels.
If you couldnt do all this yourself, youd be looking at serious money to get someone to build you one.
There are probably better transplant options out there though.
It could be possible to get it as FWD, there is a FWD hayabusa...
it doesnt sound stupid to me. gotta be worth a shot anyway. cant do any harm.
silicone is used a lot for bushes and stuff, so why not? (I know decent bushes are polyurethane).
and if the standard mounting has got big gaps in it, then it is defo gonna make a difference. Even If it isnt as...
Anything is possible!
there is a hayabusa engined 205 RWD rally car. it sounds great. If I remember correctly, it cost close to 100k.
Youd need a lot of fiberglass panelling etc. to keep the weight down.
the easiest option would probably be to have it rear mounted, as they do in autograss...
I could do that, but at the moment, my clio is up on axle stands, with no engine in it. Its looking very sorry for itself! Great Idea though!
The standard grille has been taken off, and there is a dent in the bonnet!
Has anybody got a pic of a monaco blue front end? and does someone fancy...
