Waited a week for Paul's chap to look at mine, waiting lists seem to be longer for mapping, than the mechanical stuff, but it depends how many rebuilds/projects they have on the go I suppose.
RS Tuning looked at the timing on mine and it cost £39. 1/2 hour labour and cam seal replaced. They're often mega busy so they might suggest you go to RS Murray, his dad's place in Headingly.
Mick @ Diamond is a top bloke and Notts isn't that far for you?
For me it came down to air con. Cup just wouldn't cut it on a long drive in hot weather for me. If it was a weekend toy when it wouldn't matter but if its a daily I'd try find a non cup. Only down side to non cup 172's and both 182's are the wheels IMO.

If you are going to immediately have to buy a cup spoiler and refurbish the wheels factor that into the price, £100-150 for a cup spoiler if your lucky enough to find one in the colour you want or that amount plus paint if you don't and a decent refurb on the wheels will be £200 ish.
Depends...
I have had a search and looked into several options to refurb the wheels, if anyone could give me any help that'd be great.
Option 1: The wheel specialist Leeds, searching I have seen good feedback on them and it'd be the easiest but most expensive option. I sent a quote request a while back...
Calling all Yorkshiremen
I'm wanting to refurb my wheels this weekend but I've no where flat to leave the car on axel stands, does anyone have a set of wheels I could borrow? All they need to be able to do is fit the clio and have tyres (they don't have to be legal)
Obviously any helpers would...
