i fink its just a normal spec one its not a F1 or anything like that, its got a few extras, key card, push button start, bose stereo system, climate control, tinted widows. what different spec is there because i havent got a clue
just popped out thurs nite, and some dimp in a merc, decided to pull out the junction i was pulling into, t boning the side of me car, £2500 damage, looks like it may be write off but no worryme next beast is on the way........197 sport
my clutch was stiff when i first had my 172, it was either on or off, didnt wana risk it so had it changed before have it camed and chiped, the clutch was alot lighter after having it done, only had a velo clutch fitted.
ive had loads of bad luck with mine, shockers on the rear went, radiators went, the rest of me probs are because of me messing with it, but again i luv the car so hopefully (touch wood) it will be the last for a while.
just changed inlet temp sensor and map sensor, new leads and plugs, still no joy, but i did accidently leave the blank off for the accoustic valve and it did run alot better, but i have just found that me radiator is leaking, could this cause me coolant temp sensor to read a slight higher temp...

got one on my 172 sport, couldnt tel at first cus me car was playing up, changed the plugs and it was very responsive, more than it was the last time i changed them.
just remembered something wondering if it anything to do with my cutting out problem, on idle is the throttle valve suppose to be fully closed, this is on a mk2 172 sport with electronic throttle. cheers ryan
when i told the renault bloke about me car cutting off, he showed me what looked like that solenoid off the side of the valve and said it could be that, but i said i took it off and it was running fine ( so i think) before it went in and had other work done, if its an air bypass for when the...
i think it maybe an air bypass for when the throttle is closed, i had a renault bloke showing me this as a seperate part on the computer but it was a ph 1 throttle body on the screen, i told him it looked similar to the plug on the side of the acoustic valve
well the place ive had it done have had it back to check it over, told them its over fueling and blackening the plugs up, but to fair i dont think theyve got a clue, they just said it cant be the mapping, its probably the cams etc...
