ive changed the lambda sensors with new ones, changed the coolant sensor with a new one, tried a different throttle body, changed the spark plugs, helped abit but still doing it, the cars got cat cams, matched inlets, cat back exchaust, sportd cat and a unichip.
Replaced the coolant temperature sensor, still no good, what about the TDC sensor or the knock sensor? do you think it could be any of these, im running out of ideas
found a sensor at the back of the engine in the bellhousing, next to the exchaust manifold, does anyone know what it is as its partically melted, cheers.
well that the next thing to try, checked the emmision canister lastnite to see if that was sticking open, i think it was alrite, well i left the tube off going into the engine and blocked the hole off, and it still stalled, so i dont think its that.
got a diagnostics, didnt come up with anything, maybe renaults diagnostics will be more indepth. by the time i took it apart they will be dry, the plugs i took out were all blacked up, and it smell of petrol when ticking over and when it stalls.
i just thought, it smells like its over fueling on tick over, but when driving it isnt over fueling when driving, because im still managing good mpg, is that possible?
well it didnt work, damn it........ because of the nice whether it started to do it again, well could over fuelling cause it it to stall when stoppin then, yozza? my mate did notice that it is kicking out some petrol fume, but it isnt drinking the juice, i still managed to get 40mpg on the motor...
well i tried to get over halfway, yesterday after work, sitting in traffic, it went slightly over half way, but as soon as i moved it dropped. could bad spark plugs cause an increase in temp, even if its just slight, yozza? ive already changed the the lambdas, they was probably f**k up by my...
i thought this site was set up, for all people that had a common interest, which is the renault clio, to help one another with problems and have a chat, not act like t**ts
you all want to grow up with the chavy b****cks, i think they look alright on the car, wouldnt have them on mine because it wouldnt suit. and yes i look abit of a chav sometimes, dont act like one by the way.
ive already had two brand new lambda sensor fitted, becauase me light came on the dash, but knew me lambda was on the way out because it played up before, but i think it was the fact that when the car was set up they must of over fueled it slightly, choking up me spark plugs also finishing off...
ive changed the throttle body and coilpack, still the damn thing is stalling when i depress the clutch and brake quick, especially when i use the steering, but ive noticed now that its isnt as bad now its colder, but if you are in traffic and the car reaches full temperature ( a notch over half...

i dont think it the battery, as it only does it at full temperature, its better in the cold but you can tell the problem is still there, ive tried a different coil pack and throttle body, but still there, as anybody else tried anything, whether it worked or not?
i know that it has trouble starting when cold, cus it had no clip before and ket cuming loose, and wouldnt start...............So how about the spark plugs, you think that could cause it to cut out when the revs drop. im trying to rule out the simplier thingss now.
what should the engine do when running if you unplugged it. mine did f**k all. it ran the same, could the spark plugs cause it to cut out when stooping too fast.

tried cleaning it out, still the same, i even checked that the sensors in the plemun work, the black one on the left when pulling the plug of it, it cut out, but when unplugging the grey one on the right, it didnt effect the engine one bit, what is this sensor, what shoul the engine do if you...
thats sound mate, i will try and clean it first, as this was messed with when i had me cams and manifold changed, it wasnt doin it before, i was told it was cams that was causing it, its ok when driving, sometimes abit heisitent at low revs it just when stoppiing sudden, and now and again it...
well i was going to try and clean it out first, because ive had matched inlet fitted, so they mite of maulled it when changing it over. what do you recon to use to clean it, could it be the cams that am causing it to cut out when stopping or this throttle unit being mucked up, yozza, never heard...
