Managed to drill a few holes here and there an snipped the connections off to re-solder inside the boss.
Now my problem is that I cant merge the male spline from the steering column onto the female spline on the boss.
F*ckin newsance
I could file it so that the horn connectors and the plastic tab would fit through, but the airbag connections still wouldn't. They are too big in both dimensions.
Trying to fit my aftermarket momo jet steering wheel.
Got the OE wheel off, but the airbag wiring and and tab joining to the rotary switch (black plastic ring surrounding the spline pictured below) don't fit through the hole provided on the boss.
Can I remove this plastic ring and tab? If...
Well I suppose it's possible that it's the wrong boss but I bought it from here..

Where did you get yours?
I'll show you what I mean..
The airbag connections wont go through the hole thats there.
Is it possible to just remove the airbag connections and the plastic ring there attatched to?
trying to fit my aftermarket wheel right this minute.
Do I remove the airbag wiring and the plastic wheel altogether? The hole in the boss kit for the wiring is tiny and the connections would never fit through.
Jesus christ, the torx bolt holding the steering wheel in is massive and b&q dont sell anything as big. Anyone know where i can get one? It must be like t55 or something.
Im currently trying to remove my steering wheel to fit my new momo jet but ive fallen at the first hurdle. How do i release the retaining clips for the steering wheel airbag? Been poking at them with a flathead but no joy.
Cheers
OK, still not managed to get them to play on quicktime but they work using the "quick look" function so that'll do for me.
The only thing thats annoying me now is that I can't open them in iMovie to edit them?
I think they are .avi files. How can I open them in iMovie to edit them? Was hoping...
Hi, I have taken videos on a Flip Ultra camcorder and afaik they are in mpeg4 format. Apparently I can't play this file in quicktime?
Is there a plugin or something available to allow me to play mpeg4 on my mac? I have looked all over google but can't find anything.
I'm running mac os x...
Were you guys expecting Keeley lying on the bonnet or something?
She's not the best looking but anyone who wouldnt tap it bats for the other team
Nice motor btw
I asked renault to replace it while it was being serviced two weeks ago but they "couldn't see anything wrong with the exhaust mounts"
I gave them a description of where it was and what it looked like and they still couldn't see any mounts that were perished.
Fuckin morons
Road tests for the R1 have recorded 186 mph on the speedo and it was still pulling. It's geared to top out at about 197 mph at its 13,750 redline if the motor could push through the wall of air at that speed. The 0-60 time was 3.13 seconds and it hit nearly 100 mph in first gear.
wait.. do you need new lines and fluid everytime you change the discs and pads?
Reason im asking is because I was gonna do my own next weekend on a 1.2
