Mac users advice?

Hi, I have taken videos on a Flip Ultra camcorder and afaik they are in mpeg4 format. Apparently I can't play this file in quicktime?

Is there a plugin or something available to allow me to play mpeg4 on my mac? I have looked all over google but can't find anything.

I'm running mac os x with 10.5 leopard if its makes a difference.

Cheers

OK, still not managed to get them to play on quicktime but they work using the "quick look" function so that'll do for me.

The only thing thats annoying me now is that I can't open them in iMovie to edit them?

I think they are .avi files. How can I open them in iMovie to edit them? Was hoping this camcorder would be a 'plug in and play' ordeal but obviously not.

Cheers
