I agree with that!
Am I the only one who gets people carriers trying to race them? Usually dad on his own on the way to work - it happened to me this morning. Bloke on Citroen Picasso clocks me in my 172 and tries to prove that just cos he's driving a bus he;s not past it. He looked a bit...
I thought the new Clio shares the same platform as the Modus which is the same as the new Nissan Note. I think the Micra will provide the platform for the new Twingo sized car which Renault will bring out whenever. I could be wrong, but the Clio is larger than the Micra. The main similarity is...
Same car, same colour, same amount of dirt! It's pointless cleaning a car at this time of year, though I might pay the guys who come round to our work a tenner tomorrow to give it a quick clean. It's getting so bad I can't see propperly out of the passenger wing mirror!
Some useful advice at the end of that article:
" If you’re looking at buying a car, get a quote on the insurance first to make sure you can afford it."
Thanks, I'd never thought of that.
Has anyone noticed how many people are putting the Renault Sport badges on other cars? (I'm talking about the badge that says 'Sport' below the Renault badge on the back rather than the actual Renault badge obviously!) There is a crappy blue polo that parks in my road every day (I only notice...
Actually I think they go for the badge. Audi make Skodas and seats which are meant to be good cars. Some of them use a lot of common parts but people still go for the Audi badge. Why? Image. Or at least the image they think it gives off. The BMW 1 series is badly spec'd, over priced and doesn't...
Glad you got at least one of the cars back.
A mate of mine at school had two big boxer dogs. They were huge but so docile that the worst you would get off them was a big slobbery lick on the face. We used to have great fun with tem. That was until somone broke into their house one night -...
^^^ Thanks for that. I wanted to avaoid drilling anything if at all possible so I've also got a seperate bracket. Hmmm... Maybe I didn't need it after all!
There is one of these sitting under the Christmas tree with my name on it! Someone did an install eith pictures on the old site which could be useful to some:

I was wondering what is the best way to route the dock...
Someone at work got a mégane with the keyless entry system. They got home from the dealers and couldn't work out how to stop the engine. Once they had done they then had to read the manual to see how to start it again...
On some of my old cars starting involved prayer.
I've not only got an 'h' but a 't' too! Is my car about to blow up or something? I only did the test to check something which I thought was wrong - the bulb for the power steering warning has gone...
Every day on my way to/from work I drive past the head office of Renault UK and Nissan UK in Maple Cross (near Watford). I usually see a couple of V6's every week and loads of 182/172s. Just after the 182 came out I saw one being driven with some spirit, ahem, near the office. There is also a...
I took these at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed:
Next year I just need to make sure I take an axe with to cut off any heads that get in the way... ;)
I also went to Goodwood this year thanks to a pair of tickets I snapped up on ebay for £3.50!! It was, as ever, awsome and is deff worth going to if you get the chance. Lee, looks like I was standing near you! (the stand just past the bridge) BTW, what software do you use for the galleries on...
Im 30 with a 53 plate 172. Love it! Had a 1.6 dynamique up to August this year when I thought sod it and decided to buy what I should have got in the first place! Couldnt stretch to a new 182 as I wanted to pay for the car outright and not get any kind of finance...
Has anyone actually used the tyre foam and got it to work? Im sure its fine for small punctures caused by a nail or something similar, but what for a larger hole in your sidewall or something? Just wondering...
my old 1.6 Dynamique was black and looked great when it was clean. My 172 is silver (arent they all) and when thats clean on a sunny day it burns your retinas its that bright. I wanted another black one, but glad I went for a bright colour as most of my cars have always been dark.
I always note down the mileage when I drop my car off to be looked at. I dont trust any grease monkeys with my car! There was a garage I never trusted so I used to get them to agree the milage when I dropped the car off. They probably thought I was an arse but then at least they didnt shag my...
I got overtaken by another silver 172 this morning. He had Lexus lights. Why? IMHO they just look tacky. Why do people fit them to their cars?
This isnt a troll, Im just curious...
