As above the RS brakes are much bigger. Calipers, disc's, lines, hubs, ABS sensors etc.
And of course some late 172's and 182's have ESP which is more on the electronic side of things.
RS also have rear disc setup.
Why do you have chav'd alloys? get rid of them already.
Mines a 93' but engine has been totally re-built. Shell is on 150k IIRC.
Is that your first cam belt change or second?
To remove and refit new pads you need to tap out a little bar/spacer. The spacer has a little wire clip holding it in place.
Once you have tapped this out, install new pads in the carrier the tap the spacer back in.
I have a set of 4 spec-2's on my valver and anything less than dessert conditions they are god awful.
On dry warm tarmac they are epic, in fact they become almost sticky.
Some people say they can over heat and disintergrate lol.
Good tyre in the dry and God awful in wet or cold conditions.
Some owners are reporting rust spots
Excessive wear on optional Recaro seats and rust on seat sub frames.
Gear ratio revision on later models
ECU udate to fix cold running issues
Then there are the normal niggles as with most new cars.
the ally bonnet is almost twice as light, in fact its almost as light as the ktec carbon fibre bonnet. Mainly because the ktec bonnet uses lots of backing.
I had a Ph1 with Ally bonnet.
Apparantley customers who spec'd CD changers also got a ally bonnet and if you didn't spec CD changer you got steel bonnet.
Not sure if thats a Clio Sport Myth???
Has anyone got a steel bonnet and cd changer?
Front Armrest, erm no!
Audio Remote Control
Radio/CD Multichanger
Radio/Cassette
Heated Door Mirrors, erm no!
Electric Door Mirrors
Sport Seats
Air Conditioning, (more like Climate)
Front Electric Windows
Steering Wheel Rake Adjustment
Lumbar Support
Electrically Adjustable Drivers Seat, erm...
hahahahahahahahah, you would have to be sucker to buy at those prices! You can buy a second hand 197 for 8,500!!!!!!!
Have these guys not heard of the 'Credit crunch' and 'current climate' unbelievable.
I agree that RR sessions are only good for before and after tests. I would never take any RR result as 100% accurate.
I think RR's are a good indication of true power output and I have seen some 'as expected' results but some results are hit and miss.
Still not into the mk3 look yet. Mk3's only look good when they are slamed as they look wide and muscular.
And the mk3 ph2 looks even worse! guess I will have to see one in the flesh. Out of all the clio sports the mk2 ph2 is the better looking car.
I do not dispute that the 197 is a step...
