Did you use a heat gun and chisel to remove tar?

Most people remove the canister and wiring and block up the pipes to fix this.

First of all what car do you have and what shocks are you trying to fit???

Power steering on any car make a weird grinding noise. Could be a number of causes. As long as its not leacking, there is fluid in the resivoir and the steering feels ok, dont worry about it.

Nimonic is heavier than normal steel so its not light weight at all. Im guessing nimonic is used because its very strong, resistant to heat fatigue and corrosion resitant.

Cut springs are the only way to go with rat look. It needs to be sitting on its ass. Strip the paint on the bonnet and let it rust.

Looks like a clean example! I love how all Mk1's are bodged together by previous owners. I keep finding little things that have been bodged on mine like bolts missing here and there and zip ties all over the place lol.

I hate any stickers on cars, so this looks alot better now.
