theyre square shaped clips them slot over and then bolt at the bottom to keep them in place. Bit heath robinson if you ask me. The clips are riveted on.

mine was like that at 19k but they wouldn't cover it under warranty said they thought it was wear that was causing it. try stealers but they would only change the pedal which got rid of the creak inside the car but when the car is warm and you move the pedal slowly you can hear the creaking...
its the stiff clutch (think it means worn) which eventually causes the pedal to squeak, ive had the pedal assembly replaced under warranty which made it a little better. there is another creak coming from the clutch itself clearly caused by wear.
nah its from the top of the rack definitely. Just had a balljoint fitted btw. its a different type of clunk. like i say more of a click, sounds like its coming from right behind the steering wheel.
Getting a strange click sometimes when i turn the wheel. You can hear it from inside the car its at the top of the rack. Possibly the indicator cancelling system but its a different kind of click. almost a clunk and only sometimes.
i work for orange (broadband side). they don't monitor the capping much. Just take the top 10% of users and recommend (by letter) that they upgrade their package. If you are on the capped service you can put yourself on the uncapped via their website. For 17.99 you can get.
Uncapped, Up to 8...
1. Why do you assume everyone is racing all the time?
2. Your wrong an insurance quote on a 172 was 4000 quid for me.
3. Didn't cost me that much actually as i bought the parts all painted. Probably spent about 1000 quid in total which in the grand scheme of things isn't so much.
proceed?
yeh if you lower it 60mm you will be happy with it. You will need 5mm spacers to avoid rubbing, but then should be fine. I like the 182 wheels in athracite a lot, but all down to personal preference, coilovers or apex shocks and spring kit is suitable. Martin has the apex kit on turinis. looks...
I was under the impression that the ride was harder on coilovers than shocks and springs... maybe thats the route i should be going then. If this is correct i feel a purchase from FK coming on ;)
have you got a PC? i think this would cure it paired with the right cutting compound. I assume the orange peel is on the laquer layer, it certainly seems to be. I would quite like the whole car PC'd/
I definitely recommend getting a full suspension kit. if you not going to be taking it on track days the apex 60mm springs and shocks kit is more than adequate will increase handling and give the car a purposeful look. Im not speaking from experience but i understand that coilovers make the ride...
Had a slight argument with a curb a while ago (mk2 ph2) and my sill (that sticks out below the car wher you put the jack was folded under a bit in a 30cm area. What is the best tool/method for straightening this out?
thanks

when i put 172 wings, bumper and sideskirts on my car i bought them off someone who already had them painted in pearl black. However the Paint work looks quite orange peely, specifically on the wings as if they werent machine polished properly after painting. Will this smooth out if i get them...
they won't fit. best bet is those ones subway does, which are of a similar shape but are flat at the end. You would need a bodyshop to make the 172 ones fit and its not worth it really. Subway sells them pretty cheap iirc and they are a direct fitment.
im 18...... i resent paying the insurance premium on an RS and like the way it looks. Better then a fiberglass body kit and lexus lights, no need to insult others cars really. Sure its a better car than what you had at 18.
Go Watch ur CTR racing videos u c*ck.
You were looking at 172's the other week but insurance was too expensive IIRC, so you do want one yes. Side exit will look daft, keep it stealth i say.
