They a bunch of muppets and theives!
go to the bottom of this (http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosacorp/repo...Apr%202006.pdf), print it out, take it to them and ask for a free retest - same thing happened to me, but I had already forked out for a replacement set and only found out about this...
I'm a bit peed off with Pipex at the min. Paying for 8mb broadband, and have checked on three or four occasions this week, and I'm getting less than 1mb! I actually had quicker connection when I was on 2mb!
I had a similar problem and then my Lamda sensor packed in. Have you got lots of soot on your exhaust pipe? it could be pumping too much fuel into the engine.
My first car that I properly drove on a regular basis after passing my test was my dad's Saab 93 - 2.3L! Ok, I was covered in a loop-hole on his company insurance (it appears that his MD wanted his 17 year old son to be able to drive his car, so EVERYONES company insurance had it!) Was ace - was...
Having worked for Goodyear Dunlop, I can tell you that putting different tyre tread patterns on the same axel (front or rear) isn't good practice due to the reason that The Fatty gave - you'll get brake steer.
Try Black Circles online as they are pretty good, and if I remember correctly we get a...
I'm still on my first Clio, and after three years I've not had any major problems (touch wood). I did have to have my lamda sensor replaced a two years back, but that was done under warrenty, so all good. Most of the problems I have had are wear & tare type things (brakes, wheels etc), and...
The speed limiter is for if you are going through those crappy average speed things. The cruise control switches off if you dip the clutch or touch the brakes, but the speed limiter stays on. It allows you to go up and down through the gears, but as soon as you hit the limiter speed, it won't...
I think my personal best was 54mpg in my 182 on a trip from Staffordshire upto Yorkshire. I was following my parents up and they were towing their caravan. We were doing about 60mph all the way up, and I just sat in their slip stream the whole way! Was the best mpg i've ever had... but MY GOD...
Well, not sure if I've put this in the right place.
I'm thinking of getting a welder, but I'm not sure which is the best way to go. I've done some arc welding in the past, so am sort of ok welding, but I'm thinking of getting either a TIG or MIG welder. I'm hoping to weld aluminium, so i'm...
I've lost one also. Apperently if you have one long bolt and one short bolt remaining you can go to most fixing wholesalers and they'll sort you some replacements out. I'm looking to get some polished silver ones as I'm gonna paint my engine cover black.
SC FTW! I think you'd find the car more drivable with a SC than a turbo. The power would come in throughout the power-band with the SC, but with the turbo you'd get it in one big lump, and I think you'd find the car undrivable with that much power and torque through your wheels. 240bhp in a Saab...
I have to ask. What the hell did you hit to break the rear axled? A pot hole 17" deep at 120mph? That's well done. Most people damage bodywork or burn out clutches on higher cars, but to bend an axle! That takes devotion!
As you mentioned mars bar, I reckon it'll probably cost you at most...
i've known them get crazy hot - like 50C+.
It's not a sony laptop by any chance though is it? They did recall a pile because they got too hot and kept setting on fire. Have a look on your manufacturers website.
heal-and-toe FTW! Took me a while to get used to it, but I do it naturally now. Only problem is, my work shoes are wearing on the top/side where I hit the accelerator while doing it! :S
I actually do it with the side of my shoe as apposed to the heal - smallish feet! (yeah, yeah- I can see the...
that's not bad at all mate! you look online and you can get anywhere from £400 upwards!
My initials are ATS, and I found a really good one AT51 ATS - it costs £3k though!
