oh right. Learn something new every day.
Looking good though - the ph2 rear end is looking well nice. Really looking forward to seeing the lump after its all mounted- not gonna have much room under the bonnet!
Ben, are you leaving the harness tapes like the above picture. It's just I'm sure that if you were to loop under the bar behind the seat and then to the rear bar it would hold you more securley. Heaven forbid, if you rolled it, you wouldn't be held in your seat at the moment - you need to have...
hey all.
my 182 has started playing up over the last two days- the temperature guage keeps swinging wildly from the half way level to zero and back again when im running. ivve a feeling its either something to do with the temperature sender or the thermostat. my gut says sender as the temp...
you have to remove the headlight, and to do this, you have to remove the bumper. You can remover the lights without removing the bumper, but it's a b**ch. Do a search for a guide on here.
that's exactly what I thought!
I've got et 45 for the rotas I'm getting of patty, so will be laughing. slightly worrying though cause how many people out there are driving around on incorrect alloys based on info from suppliers?
hey guys. need to pick your brains.
I've been looking at getting a set of team dynamics pro sports for my 182, but several companies I've spoken to- rimstock being the most recent, have all said that the offset for my 182 is 35-38, but I'm positive its 45. I've sent them the stats showing that...
depends on weight of your right foot. personally, i'd be happy with 32 on a trip like that. I did 300miles on a full tank at the weekend - drove Brum to London and back - got 36mpg, but I wasn't exactly going slowly on the Mway!
Nope, your car should adjust for increased airflow. you can disconnect the battery and leave for 15 mins so the ECU resets, but I didn't bother when I fitted my K&N 57i.
Was sort of following you northbound from about Dartford crossing - was in a black gold 182 and was in front of you but dropped back and let you past - couldn't make out if it was a 172 or 182 so wanted to check.
disconnect your airflow valve, and that'll give you a little more noise. failing that, if you wanted "induction noise" you should have got a cone air filter - K&N 57i or the like.
mine has a rattle from behind the speedo - you belt the top of the console and it stops it for a bit. Also, I've recently started getting brake squeel from my Mintex pads - was told they might do - it's great "squeek - creek - bump" many an hour of fun!
don't they work off the same thing on the clios? - the traction control and ESP both work off the ABS sensors. Technically speaking, yeah, he was on about traction control, but close enough! ;)
Naha! a guy from the cuprar website! I went on their to ask for some info about my old man's Leon - what a bunch of muppets they were - took me 5 days to get a not very helpful reply of "have you asked the dealer". YES, that's why I asked on there!
hmmmm.. sounds like a senor not playing properly to me. Get it up to speed, and (where possible) brake hard and see if you lock your wheel up. If it does lock, (and it will!) then it could be your ABS sensor up the swanny.
do you get a light flashing on your dash that looks like a little car skidding? That's your ESP light, and when it kicks in, it flashes on and off. Likewise, if you manually turn it off, it stays switched on (that bit doesn't make sense to me either!)
bought my lcd tv 12 months ago - 1080, and never looked back! Only problem is it only has one HDMI port, which can be a little annoying. Suffice to say, the extra cash you fork out you'll get back in viewing pleasure in years to come
try a USB interface, Phono conectors and a interface adaptor for the display and hand controls! THAT'S when it gets tight! I found that there was a gap behind the air-con controls on my 182, and with a little jiggiling I got the cabling to fall behind there. It did take two attempts as I pulled...
Hey guys. Need some advice.
I was looking at getting a set of black TD 1.2s for my 182, but have ran into a few problems.
As I understand it, the offset on the 182 is et45, but I've had a company trying to tell me that if you used an et45 wheel it wouldn't clear the callipers. Am I being...
It's all because hot water freezes more quickly than water at a lower temperature - thermal conductivity and termperature gradients - oh the joys of degree level physics!
I had same issue. As said above, something to do with the brake pedal switch. Doesn't actually seem to do a harm (ACR=ESP?)
As you said, I switch engine off and back on and no probelms. Even found you can do it on the fly - Into neutral, engine off, back on, into gear!
How do.
Anyone had their steeringwheel reupholstered on their 182 - I'm referring to the melty/cracking problem. Mine's bad, and I've tried repairing it a few times with aroldite, but I keep getting new cracks appearing.
you can get silver conductive pens - think Maplins do them - epoxy paste with silver impregnated in it.

I won't be using that particular dealer again - it's amazing how inept they are for a "main dealer". It's really worrying. Oh, and how much did they quote you for a set of rear discs, bearings and pads? I had a quote of £350! I got a full set of EBC discs (front and rear), Mintex Extreme pads...
