you should be able to get a service kit for it. its a fairly simple job if you know your way around and as long as the piston and bore are not damaged/pitted
i thought of that, but i'm reluctant. when i put it back in will it extinguish the warning lamp or have reno (like so many others these days) programmed it so you have to take it to them and get the fault cleared before the lamp will go out
