So after some messing around today I have found the following.
The pulley has a wobble, so I will change that when I can but not urgent.
The crank pulley bolt is defiantly torqued up correctly now.
And the timing it out. Not by much but defiantly out. I think I got it slightly wrong when I...
Is anyone else having random "lack of assistance" moments? I keep getting it. Never when driving only when parking low engine revs situations. I have a new ( recon ) cup alternator. I am wondering if it is not quite giving the system what it needs?
Phil - which bit of wiring do you think...
Fred, can I toque up, or at least check the torque of that pulley without removing too much? I can't remember for the life of me if I removed it to do cam belt?
Also do you recognise the noise in the first video, could it just be noisy injectors?

I thought that as well so I have checked the torque on all for. Have set them to 25Nm.
Interestingly while looking I notices that the main pulley for the aux belt, the crank pulley has a wobble. Which is a little convening. I will post a video of it.

Cool. I will check them. Tbh honest I have had the engine out fairly recently and mani off again for a starter motor issue so I will give them a check as could easily have missed something.
I have listened to the video again and it is the ticking noise that I can hear on the car, it follow the revs until it is drowned out by other engine / exhaust sound.
It had Bosch ones in, when I serviced it I replaced with Bosch. That was a mistake!! So I swapped it NGK yesterday. None of these plugs has effected the ticking noise tho. They did make it run a little s**t tho!!

Engine is ticking quite loudly. I did the belts, dephaser and water pump about 6k / a few months ago. I have been Reading threads and listening to other people's videos but I am just not sure.
is there a definitive way to tell if its defaser? If its not the dephaser what else should I be...
Re: Something squeaking when clutch pressed in
No but to get to the bearing you will have also got to the clutch, once there it's easy. Plus I imagine you can't buy a release bearing seperatly?
Re: Something squeaking when clutch pressed in
Sounds like the release bearing to me. Mine did it for about 20k before I changed. But I wouldn't advise leaving it that long. When I changed it it was properly fucked.
Ah I see what you mean. I didn't realise that's what you were talking about. I think I prefer the setup in the picture. Much cheaper alternative? And very easy to make RC adjustments by just changing the length of he adapter bit.

Are the inserts for camber adjustment? Just googled the cayman suspension online. Must be great for working on.
Have you changed hard points etc.
Actually I'm just going to go read your build thread!!

As in the wishbones? Is it all spherical bearings / rose joints or do you still have bushes in there somewhere.
I guess the only advantage is the possibility of a bit more castor, and maybe the smallest amount of extra track width, but it would be negligible.
I don't think I would run these...
And not having to replace them often, that's impressive. I take back what I said then. I would have thought they would get shagged, particularly the OBJ's.
What does the Porsche run? As standard wishbone joints and have you modded it?
