Anyone run 15" (or has run 15"'s) wheels on a standard suspension 172/182?
Any difference in handling, grip, etc.......? I'm thinking of getting a set as winter wheels.
Any comments welcome:)
One night this week I am going to replace my 182 brake hoses for some Goodridge ones (thanks Fred & Yozza:)). Through reading the guides on the forum I think I have a cunning plan, but a question I have is once the hoses are on is there a bleed order for the brakes?
Any other tips would be...

Right Chaps,
The fine guide someone posted on oil changes said jack the front end up on axel stands to make it easier to get at the sump plug
Is it not better to drain the oil with the car on the flat, so as to ensure the sump is fully drained, or is the sump plug at the back of the sump...
Thinking about upgrading my brake lines to braided. Is this a easy job? Whats involved? Is there a guide available?
Sorry for the questions but I am s**t at playing mechanic ;)
Ok it another tyre pressure question......well sort of anyway.
In my 182 I run 34/32 of which I check every week using a digi tyre pressure gauge. Last week (on that very warm day we had) after a good two hour run in the car I decided to check the pressure again. The gauge read 36/34!! I...
Talking to a guy at work about cars etc... He said if you want to prolong the life of your tyres its worth swopping the wheels around every few thousand miles.
He said swop them over front to back / back to front, to opposite corners.
What do you all thing? Worth doing or a waste of time?
I am current doing my Uni dissertation :S , of which I save my Docs to two hard drives ( just incase ;))
To do this I have to do a save as x 2. Is there any way word will save to the two location automatically?
Cheers all :)

Do you have to take the spoiler off to get at the brake light bulb?
Reason I ask is that I get a little bit of condensation in the unit. So I want to give a clean on the inside.
Is it possible to get a 16" space saver spare to fit my 182. I'm thinking may be Renault did one for another model, E.g. Megane or something...
Cheers all
Driving home last night, came to a very foggy stretch of country road. So I thought better put my front and rear fogs on...so flicked the switch and nothing:S . Tried it again and nothing, so get home check fuses (all OK). I'm now thinking dealer here I come:mad:
So I try my lights on...
Warning winge coming up.
Last Wednesday I had some issues with my Belkin Wireless Router, connecting to the internet. So I rang their support service, "install the new firmware" they said, so I did. The Router crashed halfway through, leaving it so I could'nt access the IP address for...
Do any of you guys use a web cam for security purposes. I'm thinking about setting one up to watch the front of the house. I would like to upload to the net so I can check the house from where ever I am.
Problem is I need some sort of wireless option as PC and Router is downstairs, webcam...
I know this subject has been posted a lot, but stick with me I may have the solution to the anthracite paint problem.
I have been trying to get the proper touch up for the anthracite wheels for ages, but with no success. So after trying loads of paintshops, car supplies, and even Renault...
Had my 182 for 2 weeks now (its a 05 4 months old ex demo), and have noticed a rasping sound when I accelerate. When I am at a steady speed it disappears. Performance of the car is not effected at all. The sound reminds me of a induction suck, but weaker and It seems to be comming from the...
I have rang 4 dealers around my area for a Artic Blue touch-up pen (7711225683), not one has any stock and they are saying they can't get one till next week. The best bit is I have to go and pay for it (£8) before they will order it. So the nearest dealer will involve a total of 60 miles of...
As above, I "might" be buying a 182 (2005) with Recaros fitted. Now there is no disc changer under the seat. Is it easy to fit one? Is the wiring there? Can I get one cheap, if so where from?
I should have checked when I went to view it:o
Cheers all.
First off apologies for posting in the wrong thread .....but Clio discussion still locked.
Anyway, the company I work for does a staff scheme for leasing or buying new cars. On the prefered list is the Trophy, so I thought I'd give them a ring to get a price to buy. The price they quoted was...
My Mrs's windscreen is a mess, no matter what glass polish I use (including using a PC). I read somewhere that you can use a fine grade of wire wool to clean glass.....is this right???? I'd of thought it would of scratched it to bits.
Cheers
I'm looking at doing something with the brakes on my 172. The discs on the car (front and rear) are the standard ones newly fitted 6 months ago, so are in very good condintion.
So my questions are:- Would it be worth adding some performanace pads to the standard discs?? Would this make a...
Turned the car (172 mk2) on and off quickly last night and on the second start the emission light came on and stayed on:(. The car is starting and running as good as always, but the bloody light is still on!!!!
Do I need to get Renault to check this out, or there a way to reset the light...
Tonight i am going to have a go at cleaning the crank sensor on my 172 mk2, to see if it stops my random non starting issue.
I understand its under the filter (Black square - two bolts) attached to the engine. Have any of you nice folk got a photo or something so i know exactly what I am...
When my wipers are on auto the relay in the fuse box clicks when the wiper are automatically activated.
Is this normal on the 172 mk2? Can I get a "non clicking" relay?
I know the above might sound trivial, but its been doing my head in driving in the rain this morning, with the constant...
