My mate has just bought a 172 and the xenon bulbs are not working on auto or manual setting? Sidelights and full beam are fine, just the xenon's that are off. What is the most likely problem? Blown bulb, blown fuse, ballast? Haven't had time to try fault finding yet as doing that tonight, any ideas?

....for a half decent ph1 172? I'm not too fussed about colour but I'd prefer FSH and low milage. What do you think? I think I should secure this for £3kish. Need to get myself back in the game :cool:

My mate picked up a monaco 172 on saturday 53 plate with an engine transplant by Mike at Rentech on 27,000m. Bodywork was far from perfect, the wheels need a refurb, needs two new tyres and it looks like it's an import. Good news is that the engine is sound, interior is mint and he paid £4000...

When I bought my mk 2 172 back in the day I was convinced it was the right choice, I loved it and cherished it, I laughed everytime I saw a mk 1 or 182, it was the perfect choice. When my circumstances changed I was forced to sell the mk 2 but since then I have not stopped saving or researching...

I so wish I was................prices are dropping so much that whoever is buying a 182 at the moment is getting very good value for money. Loads around too.

Is it me or are mark 2 172 clio's losing there appeal? It seems like they are really difficult to sell for decent money nowadays. Cars that should sell for 6k are going for more like 5.5k and less! Great if your in the market to buy but s**t if you are selling up. Not a problem if you are...
