Was it only when accelerating? If I have the window open it sounds as though the wind up against a wing mirror at speed accept for more prominent. (it's not the wing mirrow before someone suggests it lol)

When accelerating I'm getting a charger type sound coming from the car. Rear seats are out so it does sound like it's coming from the rear but could be wrong

How many miles would you expect to get out of a rear set of brake pads in normal driving. I've had some fitted in the summer and a Renault garage just put some tyres on for me and said the rears need replacing soon. Could they of been fitted wrong to cause them to wear quickly?
