Sucking/charger sound

When accelerating I'm getting a charger type sound coming from the car. Rear seats are out so it does sound like it's coming from the rear but could be wrong

My car sounded like a SC had been fitted, when the alternator was on it's way out.

Was it only when accelerating?

If I have the window open it sounds as though the wind up against a wing mirror at speed accept for more prominent. (it's not the wing mirrow before someone suggests it lol)

I've got the same thing...was sure it was some sort of induction noise (mainly as soudns when you boot it), but looking at the weekend it seems to be either the cat or mid-exhaust.
