Yes, it'll be fine. All the changes will be made at the exchange and/or in the kerbside box that serves your property. In the simplest terms when you download information the modem converts the analogue signal on your phone line to digital data that the computer can read, and does the reverse...
Not much been going on really. Used the Clio as a daily last week because the wife's Pug failed it's MoT on a couple of minor bits, but they also found a crack in the oil feed to the turbo which could have been fatal to the engine if it blew so that needed fixing immediately. Common fault on...
Been using it as a daily this week (which was entertaining, Cup tyres in -8C) so it was plastered with road mung.
Gave it a damn good wash, used some Dragon's Breath wheel cleaner to get rid of baked-on brake dust that normal wheel cleaners wouldn't shift. Awesome stuff.
Other than that...
They're quite rare - combination of plenty of actual racing going on and noise restrictions from the NIMBYs who moved close to a very active race track..........
I had F1 assys on the back of my 182 when I started tracking it, couldn't do more than three or four laps before they started to melt. Made the back end feel very loose and unpredictable, the whole car would squirm around on the brakes. Great road tyres but my experience was that they were too...
Powerline all the way if you don't want to use Wi-Fi. Got four of the things now and they're great. I went with the Solwise ones and never had a problem.
Get them from Amazon and if for whatever reason they don't play ball with your wiring you can just send them back within 14 days no questions...
It's staying :)
I'm going to run it for another year and then probably look to change at the end of 2017/2018 to something very lightweight and track focused, probably one of the seven clones but maybe even something like a Zenos. I really want to get properly to grips with the Clio first and...
Used to have a hell of a retro-computer collection, not consoles so much but had a ton of 8-bit stuff, all the platforms. Got rid of it all when I realised I never actually used it, these days I use emulators for my occasional retro kick but I can't deny there is nothing quite like having the...
I'd just get a dedicated wireless access point, you're paying for stuff you don't need with the Belkin and as welshname says you'll need to configure it to run as an access point - should be possible but depends on the firmware, some Belkin kit is very restricted as to what you can do but that's...
Looks like the AC1000 is a modem and router combined, it's not really designed to share an existing connection and TBH it's complete overkill if all you want to do is extend an existing network from an existing HH5. You might be able to configure it to do the job but you could probably do it...
Rust is killing Mk1 Focuses all over the place now, even the late ones. E39 sills are becoming very bad news too - used to be you knew the jacking points were usually a fairly easy fix but now the rot is really getting out of hand. :(
Nice job on the resto
Having just moved house it looks like I might need to sell the 200 :(
We've got a massive list of work to do and I'm not sure how else we can fund it, can only borrow so much on the mortgage and it's not going to cover it. Not certain yet, still looking at other options, but what a pisser that...
The LSD was a bit pants though, was a viscous coupling not a proper diff :(
Still helped it get the power down mind you, which it desperately needed. Subtle they aren't :)
I've had two 850 T5's, an S70R and two S60 T5's, the engines are just superb. Finding a good 850 these days is getting harder and harder. The saloon does definitely drive a little bit better than the estate, you can feel it's a little bit more solid, but you can't carry many bags of sand and...
Got a day off work today to chill out before moving house at the weekend, so finally managed to put together some video from Bedford. It's not the greatest quality, I'm changing from my GoPro to a Garmin VIRB with onboard GPS and all sorts of other tricks so next time out I should have much...
Yeah, someone has to pay for the data - him!
He can do chores or have it taken out of his pocket money or whatever, he'll soon learn :)
Maybe more constructively, take a look at giffgaff - they do a sim which gives 6Gb but never cuts you off, it just limits your speed if you go over the cap so...
I used to use Open Office myself, but Libre Office is getting all the development these days. Open Office is sadly on the verge of being mothballed, there aren't enough developers left working on it now to keep up with security updates etc. Libre is a fork of Open Office.
I'd download this:
http://www.libreoffice.org/
Completely free, open source, just as good as MS Office for most things.
If you really want to keep Office 2010 then you can run this on your old laptop:
https://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/
It will pull out the Office activation key...
Indeed. Just wait for the bloody things to pop up again all over the internet when the price of fuel gets stupid again. Load of garbage.
Spend energy to break water down into hydrogen and oxygen, then burn it, and somehow that liberates more energy than you had in the first place, despite all...
Does it have to be new, or just new-to-you? If the latter I'd have a look at used Dell Precision machines. Bought by a lot of corporates, values not that great because to most of joe public they're just a laptop but they're built like battleships and tend to have good specs.
My current machine...
I've got a stud conversion on the 200 which is starting to show it's age, certainly a good few years old now and there's a fair amount of surface corrosion taking hold.
I've been looking at replacing them, but TBH for my purposes I don't see any particular advantage in running studs over bolts...
