Yeah that sounds like it could be the issue, if it's running to atmosphere you're introducing an air leak into what's designed to be a closed loop system. I'm not sure about that specific engine but I know on a fair few cars it'll throw the fuel metering completely to c**k.
No MoT does not automatically invalidate insurance or tax. Perfectly fine to leave it parked on the road, just don't drive it except back to the MoT station for a pre-booked retest or to a garage for the required repairs.
Given the numbers of uninsured cars out there never mind the number of...
Wouldn't worry, I had a bumper re-done years ago and after about six months it started to bubble up, told the insurance company and they sorted it out.
Very cool, but at that price I'd get a good example of the E60 M5 instead and still have a fighting fund left over for repairs. I can definitely see the appeal though!
Only thing I can think is some cars have multi-speed cooling fans for the radiator, it's not unknown for the control packs to fail so the fan loses one or more of the speeds. It's usually the slower speeds. If that happens then it's not until the engine temp gets high enough for the "oooh...
In terms of upgrades at the moment I'm thinking - nothing. That's very, very unusual for me!
I'd want to get the engine forged before trying to get much more power out of it, and the car really doesn't need any more power at the moment - 275bhp in a Clio 200 is plenty. I think I could probably...
I've had the car back for just over a week now, but had forgotten to update. If anything it feels even better than before, I suspect the slave had been a bit unhappy for a little while as power takeup feels much more positive now than I remember. Could just be the placebo effect of course, but...
Yep the iPad Pro 9.7 surprised the market by being the the "new" Air really, same size, same weight, faster.
iPad refresh cycle is generally much slower than the phones.
TBH I can't see much that would make me want to upgrade from my Air 2 at this point. Maybe if they made an Air 3 at some...
AFAIK the PS4 is going to be the replacement for the PSS, it's a much more performance biased tyre than the PS3. SC6 is another good shout.
AD08R is definitely a good tyre, but it also gets much better with temperature in my experience. If you want genuinely good grip from cold you probably...
PSS are known for having relatively soft sidewalls for really high performance tyre, but they've suffered more than most I've seen :)
Pilot Sport Cup 2's could be your answer mate, assuming you can get them in your size. Dedicated track day tyre levels of grip with half-decent lifespan too...
I was with them for about a decade, no complaints at all. I only switched because I got an incredible deal on Virgin.
Just be aware that like most other ISPs they rely on the OpenReach network so there can be faults which they can do very little about, that's not unique to them by any means...
Dodged a bullet here.....
It was the slave cylinder, but the clutch hasn't been contaminated and it's not going to need replacing any time soon either, so just slap a new slave cylinder in there and that's that.
Should have the car back pretty soon :)
Hard to tell, the undertrays hide everything pretty well and I wasn't in a position to do much proper digging around.
My mechanic has it now, I had it recovered straight to him, so once he's had a chance to have a look I'll update again. Not sure when that will be, he's usually booked up at...
:(
That's not gone well. Completely lost the clutch without warning, luckily was able to safely get to the hard shoulder. When recovery arrived we found the car was sat in a puddle of it's own brake/clutch fluid so something has let go.
Hoping it's not the slave cylinder, but that seems...
Ooooh that speaks to me, a saffy R, very nice indeed.
Is it as tidy as it looks in the photos? I can see the exhaust isn't standard, what mods does it have on it?
It's back!
Clean bill of health apart from some of the coil packs are starting to crack. They're still working perfectly but I'll order a couple so if they start to cause issues I can just swap them out straight away.
Front pads and rear pads and discs will need doing after another two or...
Just whack the charger on, it'll be fine. You're not likely to have a problem as long as the battery is in good condition but better safe than sorry. If you want to be cautious then let it fully charge the battery first, as it's an auto charger it should go into a maintenance/trickle charge mode...
Given the trouble I've had with my GoPro I'm really disillusioned with the brand, I thought I was paying a premium for quality and service but next time round I think I'll be looking for a cheaper alternative too.
www.techmoan.com is a good place to find action cam reviews.
Currently in with my mechanic for a full service, all the filters, plugs, belts, water pump, coolant, few other minor non servicing jobs too.
This is going to sting!
Does the noise vary with revs? Wondering if maybe it's the diode pack on the alternator starting to fail and putting ground noise through the cabling. External hook up kits are very susceptible to it.
Enjoying this a lot. It's refreshing to have a balls-out shooter with modern graphics and gameplay that actually works.
It's running at a solid 60fps on my machine, 1080p, ultra preset, GTX 970 (albeit a mildly factory-overclocked Asus Strix card)
I'm playing on Hurt Me Plenty and it's a...
Production not confirmed, price likely to start with a 4 if it does make it according to this just published on PistonHeads.

My copy arrives today, actually bought the disc from Amazon because it was nearly a tenner cheaper than on Steam. Yay for free one-day delivery with prime :)
All I've got to do now is get access to the PC, which is going to be the hard part with the missus doing prep work for next week. :(
That was more like it :)
I'm knackered but still on a total high. It was just like driving my old 182 but better in every single department, couldn't be happier. Chasing down M3s in a Clio is nothing short of hilarious :D
Thirsty work though......
The usual queuing but didn't mind, almost...
