dont think the rs badge will cover the holes left by the clio badge, not done it myself just what i remember someone saying ears ago.
so no joy with the magane rs badge yet, in a few months dealers im sure will have them
ditto had them on rear and now got them all round, good value for money seem to be wearing ok but a little softer than the pe2 grips ok. happy with mine considering the cost of them.
saw the rear badge at the rs track day and thought when mine finally gives up (someone tried to nick it and pulled one side loose) i may get the megane one, what does the front badge look like? i did look at it but cant remember.
don't think any prices will be discussed until the first few are made and exact costings etc
matt - get your stuff back off him and try and find someone else? give it naith.
sorry fred i was meaning the cold temp viscosity as thinner as i dont use my car daily over winter i was a little worried the cold weather and slightly thinner cold oil may find its way out of the odd bit of french build quality, i know the viscosity rating at temp is the same. i have access to...
like fred said the belt is about £20 the tensioner is another £80ish or something i think it maybe just the belt mate for that price, make sure they change the tensioner and actually ask to have the old one back to make sure its done.
i know the rs tuning map although the max rev limit is raised it still has the lower limits based on oil temp so you could on rev upto 6250/6500, then upto 7200 then 7800 or something similar as temps increase.
not sure if the rstuner map has that or not but im sure someone with that kit will...
mobil 1 0w-40 fully sync (last 2 years) works fine no leaks every 6-8k or little sooner if i have done the odd trackday.
do find the thinner 0w-40 does seem to burn a little more as never used a drop of 5-40 only use 0w-40 as cheap at costco £22 for 4 litres.
i think from yers ago he swapped to his drift wheels without swapping his bolts over using his other alloy bolts which i think were shorter. regardless always a nice repost as shocking vid
any joy mate? a friend had same problem this week.
his revrse lights/rear wiper and washer jets all stopped at the same time. i found a blown fuse and changed it the rear wiper and reverse lights now work but still no washer jets. no relay ticking sounds or anything just dead.
^ think they may still be on his car so he wants to agree with the buyer a price and to do that needs to agree on p+p cost (thats how i read it anyway)
i remember someone one saying on here i think that washing them or using some kind of fabric cleaner or washing powder rubbed in reduces the integrity of the material and the compond or the fabric which reduces the strength in a crash.
im no expert just passing on what he said he seemed to...
noticed the prices really creeping up, was 111.9 yesterday and now 112.9 for tesco 99 ron.
seems evry time i fill up this last few months its gone up a few pence.
rr are just really for one of two things, a good day out with mates for fun OR for comparing before and after mods (using same place)
my 182 has been done about 6 times in the last 4 years and ran from 168bhp @ fly to 189 @ fly at best they can give you an indication your lumps ok or if you...
i use both vpower and tesco 99 ron and sometimes sainsburys super, atm sainsburys is about 5p cheaper per litre and i get about the same mpg.
but at a rr last week i ran vpower in the am and in the pm used tesco 99 and i know there will have been humidity and maybe slight temp diff but i was...
i did 12 in the am then an hour or two break while did other things then about 8 in ther afternoon.
in the AM used optimax fuel, PM used tesco 99 ron, car has k+n few other bits and bobs tbh and recent oil change and is on 43k.
the runs actually started about 168bhp and gained for the next...
sorry to go slightly off topic, the hole on the right hand side of the upper manifold what does that measure. i assume as its after the tb could it be a map sensor?
mine seems quite loose and can be turned and moved around a bit is that ok?
thanks
ps the rr engineer chap has extenisve knowledge of the rs lump and in racing applications and was speculating the knock sensor maybe starting to fail at high rpm the car did about 20 runs in total and he thinks this could be the cause.
at a rr and peak power just dropped off a little early compared to previous runs, the engineer thinks it maybe the knock sensor getting lazy and starting to feed a signal to the ecu. the afr was spot on all the way through the range but torque dropped off a little early than he expected and top...
