danny - is it just the ecp top mounts which you think are s**t or the oe items in general.
mine is now a road only car track days are behind me now and i know fred rates oe topmounts , wonder if these ecp ones are just made of even poorer quality jelly than the renault ones.
i used to run one in a previous car with a built in thermostat even when the thermostat is closed they do still allow some oil into the cooler and in the cold months on short journeys (less 10-15 miles) the oil refused to get upto temp. one idea i pinched from gmc racing was to get a sheet of...

holla,
mot last week shows o/s front suspension top mount has some play in it, the n/s was fine but with the car jacked up you can get play in the o/s wheel and see the top mount moving about a bit.

normally the white bit clips onto the inner headlight, the adjuster has a ball which slides into a groove in the white bit.
you are meant to just side the adjuster down and out of the white plastic bit when you remove them all of yours looks like it has come away (i think)
my mate used to have one of these a few years agoe, was rr at 170bhp (the company rollers were known to read a touch high) one of the best gearshifts of any car i have ever driven.
has someone drilled your tank? does the fuel guage actually say full but the fuel light is on and the ---- miles till empty is showing?
if your sure it is full and has not had its petrol stolen overnight then must be a sensor fault somewhere in the fuel system.
i would go and brim the tank...
too many people talk a good game from behind the laptop sat in the bedroom of their parents house, we are by the nature of the club we're members of all petrol heads.
messing up on a track day is nothing to be ashamed about, only people who have never done a track day would have a cheap dig at...
if it has not been cut someone may give you a few quid for it but you may end up keeping hold of it for a while until someone needs an oe system
mine had only done 12k and i just left it at the garage when i had my new one fitted.
would be interesting to see any reductions in inlet temp now the air isn't being routed over the top of the lump.

welcome to cs and another nw member (im salford)
it was saying another rr would give him great evidence to give to renault has it had any warranty work or oil leaks fixed that could explain timing out?
have you had it since new? has it been in for any warranty work at all?
sounds like cam timing could be out.
i would get it rr at another place forst for piece of mind and if those figures are still low i would have it checked out by a specialist mate.
i can also vouch for this bloke (older and wiser than most of us) his car collection you would not believe and he has these on his .r just for fun he does not pretend to be a driving god its just light hearted and banter.
