I done exactly the same on an MGZR a year ago, paid a £500 deposit on a MGZR120 version, i ordered all my own trim and optional extras, in the colour i wanted etc. Got a delivery date and waited.
However in my time waiting for the car, i managed to get an insurance quote on the ZR160 model and...
As soon as you change anything, then bye bye warranty. Theres not a lot you can do to a 1.2. Even induction and exhaust will only give you at most a 10bhp increase. You probably wouldnt even feel a 10bhp increase so no point.
Either trade the car in or engine transplant
What power and torque figure were you hoping too see prior to going?? You seem to have got a reasonable power graph so i wouldnt really doubt the rollers. How is the torque measured?? I know your BHP is at the fly.
How low was your output to what you were expecting??
I cant remember now, isnt the tilt setting related to the suspension setup of the car?? The times vary quite a bit with the difference between the lowest -highest settings. Hence if you dont like the time, its easily changed to make yourself believe you have a faster car than what you actually...
What tilt setting are you using???
I detest these things, i had 1 for a week and quickly got rid. Just a waste of money IMO. If you dont like the time just fiddle with the tilt setting and heah bobs your uncle. As for the CDA factor, its virtually impossible to work this out properly, my...
Not like the K-series VVC used on the MG range, Low profile is used up to around 3500-4000revs and then switches over to high profile. Its the same with the Honda Vtec and Toyota VVTi, the vtec being a bit later.
However tunability of these engines is very poor, normally a +30bhp rise and then...
17bhp doesnt seem off, seems pretty right to me. Chip should release 10-11bhp, Zorst 3-4bhp and the rest on the other, could also have been a colder day second time round which may add an extra 1-2bhp.
Just to be picky, the 172 badge doesnt even mean 172bhp. The 172 SHOULD have 169-170bhp as...
Ralphy, do you want to buy brand new?? You have the hassle of running them in and losing around £2k as soon as you drive out the garage. If i were you, id go for an ex-demonstrator or maybe a 172 with a few ks on the clock. With the money you save by doing this, is the money you have extra to do...
Have just went on the web page you lot are looking on, i am impressed they are cheap. Still £127.60 each though
http://http://www.mytyres.co.uk/start.html
They were Michelin Pilot Sports 205/45/17. They can cost from £135-165 each. Search around the web and i can guarantee you they fall in this price range.
Mattcony..... Thats how much they cost mate, i hunted around for days and thats the cheapest i could get them ie £145 each. I got 4 for...
If they were mate, theyd be going for more than £30. (Maybe fell off the back of a lorry)
Performance tyres in general are in excess of £100 each (well they are on a 17 rim)
Does that not tell you something?? Surely you get what you pay for??
Performance tyres will not cost £30 each, thats how much a tyre would cost for a 1.0 mini metro.
Seriously mate, for £30 they cannot be a good quality tyre!!
Has to be an Evo 6 or Tommi Makkinen. There is no other car anyone has mentioned that will get you the respect of having 1 of these bad boys. Look awesome aswell and are easily tuned.
Just a general question about insurance......
If you pick up 3 points during your years cover, do you need to inform your insurance company there and then or do you declare them on your re-newal??
I thought the clio speedo dial only went up to the 160mph mark, yours is showing i think 170.
Am i reading this properly, have you had 160mph in a 2.0l clio?? I know theres proof right in front of me, but that seems way way fast.
Am surprised the gearbox let you do that, i thought at max the...

£450 for the trackstar unit, and £325 for monitoring fee. So £775 altogether!!!!
Do the uk cliov6 come with these standard, i mean the monitoring fee aswell??
