Hahaha, yeah i still get caught out by the clutch, tends to be when ive got music on and cant hear the revs, i still stall it on occaison even after 5 months!
The cup is a brilliant little car, and i love it to bits, like boss cup i used to have a 106 (was the S1 Rallye though) and the cup is...

Bummer, just taken a photo and seen youve put one on Lucas!
Thanks for all your thoughts on the matter guys. Think ill over inflate the tyres a little and see what that does. I didnt expect the Rainsports to be amazing as they were a budget tyre for my budget bank balance, but ive heard good...
Anyone else with Rainsports? Ive just changed from Contis and ive noticed that they feel so much more sloppy, scarily so! Changing direction at speed feels like i have jelly for wheels. I just drove up to Newcastle and back, and lane changing on the Motorway was scary it felt like the front...
Well im now thinking that its the passenger side disk thats sticking on, as it keeps locking up under a medium amount of breaking at slow speeds. It is also getting very hot compared to the drivers side one.
Surely some mechanically minded person must have some ideas? No?

Ok, ive taken the wheel off and had a look at the drivers side disk and pads. The pads are touching the disk, and there are no obvious scratches that could have been made by something under the pads. Pads have plenty of wear left, and disks, although they have a slight lip at the top, seem ok...
Hey Everyone,
Was wondering if anyone could help me with a small problem ive noticed today. Had new tyres fitted on monday and today is the first time ive been able to go out and give the cup a blast. The problem is, under heavy (ish) breaking the car ducks to the drivers side, as if that...
Just had Uniroyal rainsports put on today. The guy at the garage said it would take a little while to take the shine off the new wheels. They feel better comfort wise, and ride a lot smoother over rough roads, not tried them in the wet yet, although looking out my wondow, i may get that chance...
Just got my tyres from http://www.mytyres.comwww.mytyres.com today, only ordered them on Monday so im very impressed with the speed that they came. Also i priced it up at a few garages what it would cost to buy them and get them fitted (uniroyal rainsports) and i was quoted £314 for all 4. With...
Well, could it be like on the 172, the 4000rpm rattle? Thats something to do with the heat sheild i have been told. Ive got a aftermarket exhaust on mine and it still has the old 4k rattle, i think its the heat shield vibrating at its natural frequency.
Im going deaf from the after market exhaust. Im gonna need physio on my back from the firm but fair ride, and im gonna need botox to get rid of the smile and laughter lines. Love it to bits. It rattles and it shakes, but from coming from a 106 rallye mark 1, it seems a lot better put together!

Just been on the Haynes Manual website and i cant find a manual for the new Clio, it only goes up to 2001, pre-face lift. Also it says that it does not cover the 2.0l 16v. Is there a manual that i can by for my 172 Cup? Im looking to replace the break pads and want a manual to help me do this.

Either that or the 182 will hold its price if the next clio is crap. Remember what happened when they released the bug eyed impreza, the original was then even mroe in demand as the bug eye looked so dire!
As for seeing 182s on the road, they must be renaults best kept secret as ive not seen...
I came from a Bravo HGT to a cup, thinking that the insurance was gonna sky rocket, as the Cup is a lot faster and more desirable than the HGT, but it was £200 cheaper a year!!! To say that i was a happy chappy was an understatement!
I thought the 172 and Cup were the same to insure as well.
