Gerling or Lucas break system

Just rung my local Ripspeed retailer in Leeds as im looking to get some pads off them, as the previous owner fitted the wrong size pads ive just been informed by renault.

Could anyone tell me which breaking system the 172 Cup (52 plate) uses? The Ripspeed dude said it was either Gerling (Spelling?) or Lucas. Did they do both types on this car, or is it only likely to be one of these.

Please excuse my limited technical knowledge!

Well non sport uses Lucas..not much help but anyway

Does it not say Lucas or Girling on the caliper? Does on mine (Lucas obviously)..have a look..

tried to look between the spokes but cant see it, in my work clothes and dont wanna get greasy! If no one can tell me then ill do it after work, just wanted to get the pads ordered today thats all, so i can fit em tomorrow.

Gerling are Lucas, Lucas bought Gerling over iirc. Two main types you get are Gerlings / Bendix.
