Where can i buy a fault code reader for my 1*2 ?

I've got a cheap (approx £20) one from ebay, which works over bluetooth and I downloaded "Torque" for my mobile to read all the data. It interfaces perfectly and shows a stack of data, apparently I've no faults recorded but the only way to check for sure would be to have a diag check done at...

Clio Sport 172 Exhaust from Kwikfit!

Similar price to what I was charged by my little local garage for Kalrius (Timax) boxes - which manufacturer made the better ones? The first part numbers seem similar to the cheap ones advertised on ebay, IIRC.

    Exhaust

As per my recent thread, even pattern parts can be crud, mine's failed at the hanger arm within 2months of fitting, cheap pap.

    cheap 172 rear silencers

Nice! This one on currently hangs lower than Jordan's knickers, and that's with new mounts too.

    cheap 172 rear silencers

Thing is i'm not bothered about having a noisy zorst/loud boomy one - infact I removed a Powerflow one for that reason. I'll check the local dealer then, might see if Wests have anything to offer too.

Remapping company - Exeter or Taunton

There's Performance3000 in Yeovil, but they've got a bit of a chav-tastic rep IME. They do a few options there and have their own RR.

    cheap 172 rear silencers

Are there any pattern-part exhaust brands that have proved better than others? My cheap one from the local factors is falling apart, the outer material is basically shearing off at the hanger - I suspect they all have a tendency to do this? It's only been fitted for a couple of months, and...

    Heated windscreens

Well the Ford ones don't use the heater matrix, they use an electrical charge passed into the wires.

    Sound system help :(

My Alpine has very occasionally woken itself up when (I think) there has been a Traffic Announcement broadcast, perhaps it's something similar? It never happened often enough to work out the pattern though.

    Still got crap radio reception!

FWIW, i've found the reception in the Clio to be below par compared to other cars, even using the same aftermarket stereo. I did find a small improvement with one of those little 'type r' style aerials, which I wasn't expecting as they're only short.

Buzzing noise by interior lights - Clio 172 mk2

There is a small fan behind the interior temp. sensor & it's very annoying! I snipped the power supply wire on mine & insulation-taped it up to stop it...

Anyone changed there speakers in the Clio ph2 dash?

A-Pillar mounting is something i'm considering for when I fit mine, not sure if it'll be better or worse than the standard position though.

    Require standard exhaust help.

Pattern ones are a bit hit & miss for fitment around the rear axle bar thingy - well, mine is anyway!

    My blackened out xenon headlight

This is like when people spray their rear lights black - yes they still work, but they're so dim that it's not worth having them in the first place! Lights are bright for a very good reason...

    205 40 16 or 195 45 16

I posted standard 205/45/R16 tyre pressures last week, check my profile for recent posts. Any other size will likely need something different. Personally I prefer standard width, anything narrower will just give a harsher ride in return for little real-world improvement in handling, etc.

Parrot MK bluetooth fit = dimmer clock?

I thought i'd update this thread for the sake of it - accidently nudged the clock display on the buttons & the numbers came up as bright as before. Must've been a loose connection for the bulb or connector, etc. :)

    Exhaust bracket replacement

Well my ebay hanger bracket specials lasted a few weeks until they started sagging - not amused, the old Renault ones were better because it didn't bang the rear beam previously!

    Tyre pressures

My manual says 2.2bar at the front, 2.0 rear, for normal use. 2.7/2.2 if loaded up, standard spare wheel should be 2.7bar.

I heard mixed reviews on them on release, and am led to believe that the Asus Eee Pad Transformer thing is a better device?
