Parrot handsfree causing immobiliser to play up?

Regarding the parrot device, all you can do is recheck the wiring looms and make sure you haven't nipped/squashed any other wires whilst pulling things apart/putting them back together.

Parrot handsfree causing immobiliser to play up?

FWIW, i've got the blue box on mine tucked behind the passenger footwell RHS kickplate, and the microphone to the RHS of the mirror, stuck to the window, and I don't have any problems. The wiring loom is under the stereo & just goes straight to the control box. Where did you put the screen? I...

    Parrot Car Kits

Well - today I learnt something new, shows hot little attention I paid to it once i'd got it working! Voice searching on my android phone works quite well - will give that a go! (and yes iphone users, that's been on our phones for ages! :rasp:)

    Torque pro android app

Weirdly, it was only showing ~60% throttle position when I had my foot to the floor, anyone seen that before?

    Decent replacement headlight bulbs?

You just buzz-out the connector wires with a multi-meter (digital volt-meter). Eventually you'll be able to find the ground by connecting between a wire & the chassis.

Audio People: Speaker ring... not adapters, cork/foam rings for seating?

I just used the cheap P-shaped foam draught excluder like you use for windows/doors!

    Parrot Car Kits

They only work for voice dialling, and they work on their own without using the phone's capabilities. I have a mki9200, and really like it.

    Torque pro android app

Quick Q: They recently updated the software, and I think i've only got the basic free app. Do I need to buy the full one to be able to read fault codes? I was browsing the software and couldn't see the option there, although I wasn't connected to the code reader at the time.

    Problems with my bluetooth/parrot kit

Yeah that worked on mine for a similar problem, deleting the phone connection from the Parrott.

South West Rolling Road meet. **Date TBC**

I'll come along if it's on a convenient date, would like to know how mine is doing.

    Decent replacement headlight bulbs?

From other cars I found that sometimes it was just the bulbs, but also it was occasionally the wiring. On one car, there was a big improvement from renewing the light's earth to the chassis, and on another a load of new engine/accessory earth looms improved the lights too.

when dephaser is knackered is it a constent tappy noise or not?

The one in the bottom link sounds proper badgered!

Grooved or Dimpled front brake discs

Yes I look in the traders section but there's loads of them & no listing of what each sells - after all these years it's more difficult to see who sells what. Thanks for the pointers though, I'd seen about G172 at least.

    Geometry figures - look ok?

Yep, driven a bit more today, definitely a duller steering feel & the wheel is slightly off centre too - can anyone give me the standard 172 settings?

    Service 172 cup

    K-Tec, they're near Poole.

    No Shows

I had a guy give me a £200 deposit, then never bother getting in touch again - kept the car a month & didn't use it as i'd agreed to! Also sold my last two cars without the buyer even bothering to drive them, couldn't have been easier. Did get no-shows & stupid ebay bidders for the others...

Just been to get tracking done and turns out there are bent bits - advice please

Just wondered if there's anything more difficult to the Clio ones than other cars, i.e. my old Focus was fairly straight forward, except for the fact everything was rusted to within an inch of it's life.

Grooved or Dimpled front brake discs

So the consensus is just stick to normal discs, like regular Brembos, then? Who sells the HC's & how much do they cost? I've seen them on KTR's website but wasn't sure if there's a trader on here?

Just been to get tracking done and turns out there are bent bits - advice please

If it's so difficult to do them, what's the difference to other car's TREs?

    Geometry figures - look ok?

It seemed a lot duller, but i only drove it 1mile home! What's standard & got any ideas about the difference in camber figures?

    Geometry figures - look ok?

    Now that it's 2degrees each side? I couldn't find figures on here, but I figured it'd end up 0degrees TBH. Or before, being -1.75 & -0.25 ?

    Geometry figures - look ok?

Have got a 2002 172, just had the tracking checked & adjusted at my usual tyre place. They changed the toe-angle, and the car is much more neutral now, was a bit lively up front before. The photo shows the results (based on V6 clio settings, only just realised this - are they similar?) What...

HELP!!! Front right wheel wont come off...

So you've lowered the car slightly, onto the wheel with the bolts removed, enough for it to take the weight but still supported on the jack? That's always freed them up for me in the past.

Where can i buy a fault code reader for my 1*2 ?

I have the BT version of that. IMO it's worth the £10 more it costs with a bt dongle, just so you don't have to rely on having a wired connection. D - Yes, I believe you can.

Insurance thread for young 1*2 owners

I didn't say they were difficult to drive. But they do go fast relatively quickly, which makes them a less than ideal car for a new driver. Especially the sort that's going to try and tune one up!

Insurance thread for young 1*2 owners

I feel sorry for that car, it's not going to last long at the hands of somebody who only passed their test a little over a month ago. The premium will be justified then, as the insurers will have to pay to replace an entire road's/roundabout's worth of the street furniture which will inevitably...

Insurance thread for young 1*2 owners

£8,000 insurance on an old Clio, that's the second silliest thing I've read on this website. The first is using a bucket with an induction kit.

Where can i buy a fault code reader for my 1*2 ?

D1cky, the Torque s/w seems good. It helps if you've got a phone with a big screen as you can do live data gauges but the BT connection has been fine for me, on an old htc hero & my new S-E Xperia Arc.
