I used to wash my exs car, and take it to be serviced, get it taxed etc coz he always forgot.
I also wash and polish my car, my mums car and my sister’s car (my sister always helps)
Am I a typical woman? I dont think so!!
Im 35 with a 13 year old kid and from the day he was born Ive had nothing but hot hatches, his first car journey was in a 1985 XR2!
Ive never done the big family car thing and never will, I dont understand (unless you have lots of kids) why people think that a baby means boring car, unless...
This brings back memories!! I had all this cr*p when I first got my 172, it took ages but in the end they gave me the 3 years warranty, and countless washer balls later, Ive learned to live with the drip drip when the washer bottle is full, and my first service was around £170.
That first year...
better brakes
Why?? Is the ability to hit your head on the windscreen with such ease (nearly did this so many times on the first day of ownership!) not good enough for you?

Whatever you choose, paint it red!! Dont go for the just robbed a scrap yard look
Evos bonnets are fantastic, they are body coloured but you can still see the carbon weave. :D
My exhaust was rattling pretty much from 7k miles (do a search for the 4k rattle, a very common problem)
Aftermarket exhausts are cheaper than the standard and have a life time warranty, I put a Magnex on mine, have a look in the media and pics forum for lots of examples of exhausts.
Ive...
I have a 2002 172 with 30k on the clock (Ive had it for 2 years) all the little nigggles were sorted out in the first year and since then its been 100%, Ive had no major problems and its always reliable.
Check the exhaust as standard systems are cr*p and expensive, aftermarket exhausts are by...
I have driven both cars lots of times; the mark 1 is fantastic and original.
If you want to go for a newer car, the mark 2 is also fantastic, but handles so much better when lowered slightly... so if you want a driver’s car and the newer of the two get a mark 2 and lower it...
Some people just dont care, a mate of mine sat in my car eating a pasty with bits falling every where, when she pulled out a flake I told her to "get out and walk or put it away and for that matter you are banned from eating anything in my car!" I got the silent treatment for a bit but who gives...
