It will be cracked around the seal (if its the same as every other 172) The wipers need to come off to get to it, most people have had this replaced by a dealer under warranty
Mine does this from time to time, other people on here say the same, it happens in humid weather if Ive driven it for a short time, stop and then re start....the rattly knocking noise is not good....keep an eye on it 172s are prone to need the tensioner belts replacing
I agree, my 1992 XR2i was costing up to £400 per month on repairs alone, even the RAC said that they were gonna have to charge me extra for all the call outs. :confused:
I think sitting in the wrong lane should be illegal, this causes so much anger and frustration no wonder people undertake, the amount of people who just sit in the overtaking lane when they clearly just want to sight see or scared to loose their place is infuriating. There should be a legal...

I test drove a mini cooper s works and loved it, it drove and handled nice and looks fantastic....however reality dawns when you look at the price tag, they wanted my car AND 10k and the mini has no improvement in performance over the Clio !!!:o

The mark 2 172 drives as well as the Cup when lowered with the added bonus of the luxuries, the alloys let it down but are easy to change!
My sis has had a mark 1 and now has a Cup, I have a mark 2, all fantastic cars, you wont be disappointed with any of them…the 0-60 difference is only...
