    I.K.&chip! Any advice/thoughts

Yeah pannel filter with 70mm air feed from the airbox to the foglight/gap next to it. Decat pipe, and make sure it has a good service i.e pluggs, fuel filter, dizzy cap rotor arm, leads, oil and filter. Once thats done then maybe a cat back exhaust. Hillpower do chips for 150 which you might...

    In your opinion!!

As above standard airbox, with panel filter. And a 70mm air feed from the air box to the fog light or hole next to it.

    Shielding Standard F7P/R Airbox

I am using 70mm pipe on mine, think the standard is 50-60mm? on the standard airbox the pipe that attaches to the box reduces from 70- 60mm I think so best to run a pipe all the way.

    BMC

Yes as the standard pipe reduces, the hillpower one flows better, (and looks alot better), comes in different colours as well. About £45 I think.

    Overfueling 16v

Get a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel line. Standard pressure from the factory is 3bar, my pbv is set up on the rr at just over 3.5bar.

    Shielding Standard F7P/R Airbox

Umm not sure on drilling holes in it, may be ok if a few are drilled in places away from any major heat sources(like towards the front grill and battery, which may or may not help with throttle response??). Best bet though is just to run a 70mm tube from the airbox to the front fog and stick a...

    Shielding Standard F7P/R Airbox

Not insulating it, just using a thin film of aluminium tape to reflect heat, as we all no black is the worst colour for heat absorption.

    Willy engine verses 172 engine

172 is a better engine, due to its a newer design, revs higher and produces more power and torque.

    rt induction kit

Putting the airbox back on with a new filter will probably give it more power. Just a nice pipe from the airbox to a good air supply.

    ZR160 VS 172

I ve test driven the MG Zr 160 and to be honest it felt about as quick as my valver. Interior is pants, and the build quality is not one of its strong points either. I think they look alright but a bit dated. Would much rather have a 172 anyday of the week.
